For all the old school rap fans out there, here's a bunch of censored videos from the very underrated DJ Quick. Some of the videos are the typical modern rap crap of half naked models, who have probably never even stepped foot in the ghetto dancing around, but the music is really good!!! This is the rap music I grew up on!!!

Just got done listening to everything, and that was some really good stuff!!! That Anita Baker performance was great!! I hadn't heard any of her music for years, but now I'm definitely in the mood to check up all my old favorites of hers. The Vickie Winans one didn't work too well for me. The volume was messed up, so I could barely hear it. That Dreamgirls performance was amazing!!! I had never heard, or seen anything from that Broadway play, and so it was definitely a cool treat. It's really long, but after you watch it, you realize it was worth the wait. Just an amazing and passionate performance for sure!!!
Thanks again for posting those videos James. I really did enjoy them!!! Awesome stuff!!

Hey, I think we oughta start our own music video channel here. Call it SOVN, The Sitcoms Online Video Network. Our slogan can be: "We don't play music from one or two genres, we play music from every genre". We'd put VH1 and MTV out of business!!!!!!! I think it's a good idea anyway. lol!!

Welcome back to the SOVN studios. I'm J.P. 'Jammin' Preston, bringin' ya another block of videos for your holiday weekend. You know, I always seem to get a little nostalgic during the holidays. So, we are gonna put you into that time machine and rocket back in time to an age of big hair, big shoes, big hats, shiny ties, and just all-around good times. Hope you enjoy it!
First stop: 1989 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEao_zSdRhE&search=coldcut%20people%20hold%20on)
We continue the journey with a little gem of a song that I played the heck out of way back in: 1982 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wKrShVk5Xs&search=human%20league)
Next up, J.P.'s favorite disco song of all-time. Side note: I used to own a tie that looked exactly like the one in this video. And we're off to: 1979 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2g0SG3KTQKA&search=born%20to%20be%20alive)
Last stop on the 4th of July musical weekend time machine is a visit from a show that is still going strong today. A compilation of line dances from: Soul Train (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-TJrw-gImw&search=soul%20train)
Hope everyone enjoyed the trip. Welcome back to reality and enjoy your holiday! Special thanks to our president and COO, Little Mel, for letting me sit in the chair. Peace!

The"Stand By Me"video is awesome! It's so cute how River Pheonix and Wil Wheaton got up on stage with Ben E.King himself.
Another favourite of mine is"Total Eclipse Of The Heart".An emotional and exciting video.I haven't seen it since I was 13 in 1983.
I loved Peter Cetera's car chase in"Stay The Night".
I also enjoyed"Fly Robin Fly".I didn't realise that there were three women singers in Silver Convention.Somehow it always sounded like one singer.I especially loved the scene with the three of them on motorbikes.

Okay, so I may get a warning for posting this up, but just let me say before I do, it is EXTREMELY explicit, and is only for people over 18, and for those who don't get offended by very BAD language. I just had to post it up though, because it made me laugh my ass off for 10 minutes straight.   Once again, this has extremely explicit lyrics, and will probably be taken off, so check it quick if you're over 18, and don't mind raunchy humor. If you get offended easily, DO NOT WATCH THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU!!!!!!!!!

I know many argue that lyrically the Beatles were the greatest group ever, but I'm sure very few people who have heard the lyrics of this group, and those hearing it for the first time, will admit that the Beatles aren't even on the same level as this group. David Bowie, & Queen - Under Pressure (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fpupBCL6TE)
Ice Cube featuring George Clinton - Bop Gun (http://www.ifilm.com/video/2786916) Oh man, I freaking love this song. "One Nation under a groove, getting down just for the funk of it, one Nation and we're gonna move, nothing can stop us now." Classic Cube!! (Warning, a little bad language, discretion advised).
REM - Man On The Moon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y71AX0BbJOg) Awesome tribute to a comedy genius, Andy Kaufmann.
Joshua Kadison - Jessie (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2MgxckYd1k) Anyone remember Joshua Kadison?? In my opinion one of the most underrated singers ever. For those of you who haven't heard of him, or heard his music, I highly recommend you check it out!!
Joshua Kadison - Beautiful In My Eyes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkTQUB2rKtw) My favorite Kadison song!

Adam Sandler - Piece of Sh*t Car (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rS_Ge6414Vs) (EXTREMELY graphic lyrics!!!! Only watch this if you aren't offended by really bad language!!! FOR ADULTS ONLY!!! Don't say I didn't warn you!!!!!!)
Isaac Hayes - Chocolate Salty Balls (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuxQr1p-cgw) I'm not a South Park fan, but I saw Isaac Hayes perform this song on tv a few years ago, and laughed my ass off!! (This'll probably offend a bunch of people as well, so if you're not into raunchy humor, don't watch!!! LOL!!)

Oh, I know. Back when it first came out, it seemed like you couldn't have the radio on for five minutes even, without hearing it. LOL!!

I remember getting caught listening to my walkman during class in 5th grade. I just started singing "Life is a highway, I wanna ride it all night long". My teacher had a lot of trouble keeping a straight face.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAk_0N85wNk
Bristol Stomp, from 1961, by the Dovells. A great dance record:
