Did they ever catch the mexican women with the mile long name who put 3 or 4 husbands and a non-exsistant half sister in the ground? I still remeber that case.

Not according to any updates. I imagine she has killed even more people since the story in various parts of Mexico and US Territories. She could have stopped, though. She didn't get any insurance money from her last husband and is charged with fraud, so at least she's a wanted fugitive.

I hate watching people get away with stuff like that. there's no reason someone should be able to get away with that.

I can't recall this case.
What happened?
Are we talking Marie Hilley eviiiiiiiil or what?

Ehh......she was probably on the same messed up wavelength as Marie Hilley, if not one worse I would suspect.
What happened was, this woman happened to ingratiate herself into the lives of wealthy American men who were vacationing down in Mexico. Things would develop and eventually she would marry these men. Then, sometime later, the unlucky guy would meet a sudden death, something along the lines of a heart attack if I remember right.
The men ended up dead and she ended up with most, if not all of their money.

I remember this case, but I cannot remember her name. This chick in my opinion was worse than Marie Hilley, she made Hilley look like June Cleaver.

I can't remember here name either.....maybe her last name was socorro or something? but she had so many husbands.....she probably had too many names....not to mention in mexico people keep their mothers last name.
anyway yes she was up there with any other heartless person. I wouldn't put it past her if she had something to gain she probably would kill her kids. she basically poisoned her(multiple) husbands and stole their financial estates....and left the families with nothing. the sad thing is that there were so many people around her who probably could of turned her in. but like the mexican law man said in the segment.....she has legit doctors/lawyers ect. in her pocket....and because of that she's hard to catch. I think she even faked her own death and took out an insurance policy.

I found this article on her son getting killed in a motorcycle accident. It states her whereabouts are still a mystery and she was also known as Maria Socorro Rodriguez Guijarro.

Thanks for the update.
What a bummer that her son died so young (35). The article says that he was the only one of her immediate family not connected to her crimes which included the murder of the undertaker who had business dealings with her (burying "her" and her non-existent sister?) and the disappearance of the doctor who signed her death certificate so she could fake her own death and collect the life insurance.
What the heck are professionals thinking when they get involved in such shady dealings? They must be so greedy that they are blinded to the possibilities of not only getting caught and losing their licenses to practice, but of the scarier possibility of becoming another casualty as this woman tries to cover her trail.
Given the choice, I'd rather be flat broke and alive. It sure beats having a wallet full of cash while your name is on the grim reaper's short list. Sheesh.

It's unfortunate that some people will just pretty much anything for money and sometimes they don't realise who they are doing business with until it's too late. Isn't it ironic that the only member of her close family alleged to be not involved is the one that is killed? (from what I'm aware)
One has to wonder how many more people she's killed over the years.

This has had to be one of the most creepy UM segments ever.
If you thought Marie Hilley was good, well Maria Socorro she puts Marie Hilley to shame. Man.. she is UNCANNY.
I mean, just think about it.
How did she managed to hide her history of so many husbands dying before her? For every new man shes met?
How could her future husbands not know anything about her past before meeting their final sudden unfortunate demise?
Why wasnt there anybody to warn them at all? Why didnt family members of her past husbands do anything to warn those guys?
Not to mention, how exactly did Maria Socorro's husbands die? Obviously like Marie Hilley, she must have poisoned them somehow.
But by what kind of poison? And how did she do it? Where did she get her hands on quantities of such symptomless and lethal poison?
Marie Hilley had the need to kill because she was a spendthrift. But what about Maria Socorro? None of the UM segment goes to indicate any clue of her spending habits, who she has business dealings with. She is made as mysterious and sinister as it can be.
I for one think she embodies the perfect criminal ~~ she has been able to elude authorities totally and hasnt been caught after all these years.
Marie's Hilley's misdeeds got exposed overtime, but Socorro was well above the law. She covered her tracks completely.
She cremated her victims bodies before they can be autopsied. She left no evidence to incriminate her.
Even those who worked with her either died or disappeared !! Makes you wonder how can a harmless, frail looking, woman in her 50s (at the time) was able to do that ?!
