Rosie O Donnell of A League Of There Own,Exit To Eden, and tv movie Riding The Bus With My Sister and a gay advocate, will be on The View in Sept. But, Star Jones announced today that she will not be returning to The View. She said on The View while she interupted her co-worker Joy,Joy was saying something about air condition and Star told"I have something to say,"she continued to say that this was the right time to leave, and that "god" told her to say something at this moment. In the past Rosie and Star have been feading, fighting, when Ms Walters gave the job to Rosie Rosie was saying soemthing to Star if she was very real.genuwine. That what stared the stand-off, while Ms Wlaters did not say anything agaisnt star leaving she did say that she wanted to "protect "stra and that is why she did not say anything at a recent confrence. while Star contract is up later this summer, Star like I said that God wanted to leave. I think that Star hates Rosie and just does n ot want to be around Rosie when she comes on The View in Sept. In Rosie's blog she says that Star will be ok,,also at today's View Joy the comedian asked Star' Now who will I fihgt with' Jokeing, Star said" I have a feeling that will still fight with someone". The View has been on 9 years on BC morning.

Although nobody is confirming it, I think Star Jone's exit has a lot to do with Rosie O'Donut coming on board. I've heard that they don't get along.

Rosie has said some pretty nasty things about Star Jones in her blog.
From what I read, people at the View will not be shedding tears when Star leaves. She's become a mega diva.

Sheryl Lee Ralph's name has been rumored as a replacement, but I'm not sure if she's really in the running.

I don't think they should replace Star right away. Rosie is going to be the new kid on the block, so let her have the spotlight for a while. Bring someone else in in six months if they need another panelist.

I've heard Gayle King (Oprah's Best Friend) is supposed to replace Star.

Sheryl Lee Ralph, Vanessa Williams, Phylicia Rashad and Gayle King have been mentioned in a few articles about questioning replacements, but I dont think anyone has actually been pursued yet. (I can't stand Gayle King so hopefully it doesnt turn out that way.)
I say good riddance Star, she's too full of herself IMO.
And I highly doubt they'd put a man in to replace her.

Star is so big on telling the truth you know... What was it awhile back that Star was bashing Pres. Bush abt???? i recall a thread where she had stated something on air abt him.

As much as I dislike Star, I applaud her for refusing to lie to fans like ABC wanted her to. I think this is the first time Iv'e ever been proud of her. Shame on you ABC for trying to make her lie to fans!!!

NEW YORK - Ousted cast member Star Jones Reynolds said Thursday she was told she could "make up a story" about why she was leaving "The View" and her colleagues would have gone along with it.

he news that Reynolds wouldn't have her contract renewed for a 10th year on the daytime talk show exploded this week into a bitter war of words involving show creator Barbara Walters.

Reynolds, appearing Thursday on CNN's "Larry King Live," said she'd been told in April that she wasn't coming back but kept it secret. She revealed it on Tuesday's show, taking Walters and ABC by surprise with the timing.

The truth — that Reynolds' ABC bosses didn't want her back because her personal popularity was plummeting — might never have been known without the fight.

"They said you can make up a story," Reynolds said. "The audience didn't deserve for me to make up a story. That's not fair."

Longtime ABC newswoman Walters has confirmed the intended deception, but said it was done to protect Reynolds' reputation and feelings.

ABC said it canned Reynolds immediately after Tuesday's show because her announcement, and an interview with People magazine, took the network by surprise. Walters told The Associated Press that she felt betrayed and ABC said it couldn't trust Reynolds to tell the truth if she remained on the air.

Reynolds said she was "having trouble reconciling" ABC's statement with being told earlier that she could lie about her exit
