I saw this episode last night and I couldn't believe I had never seen it before. And I have one thing to say about it, what a good episode. I liked Stretch, I thought he was funny and even if he wasn't in an episode when Archie talked about what he did at work it was funny.
I was very surprised when Archie went to the Synagogue. I did not see that coming at all. I thought Archies speech was very nice and funny.
Here is a question I got, why did they kill him off? Was it just to have this episode or did James Cromwell want off or what? I would have liked him to stay on. And shouldn't someone else from the loading dock been at the funeral. Like Elmo or someone like that. Maybe even Irene could have come back for this.

I know James Cromwell went to star on Hot L Baltimore, another Norman Lear show in January 1975. Maybe that's why he left.

I just saw this episode myself for the first time. I think it was just a way to put Archie into a storyling that involved dealing with Jewish people. For some reason, I can't remember ever seeing Stretch in an episode.

It would be great if they released a bunch of Norman Lear short-lived comedies like Hot L Baltimore.

I see no reason why Bill Cosby Variety shows that I have on my list shouldn't be on DVD someday. I mean how big of a star is the Cos?-lol

Maybe you will get lucky with that. A lot of the stuff I am looking for has nobody's and I am looking for a lot more specials than I am shows. Last week I listed about 75 things I am looking for and people at the board only had about 6 of them.

You are probbably one of the only few people to have out of the blue.
With the addition to Hot L, I think these are all the shows nobody seems to have.

I saw Mr. T and Tina when I was a kid. I didn't really like it. Condo I did like but I haven't seen that since it aired and maybe my tastes changed. Enos I did like . Their was one episode that Roscoe guest starred on. That was a blast.

I never saw that one. I only watched the 1st episode of Mr. T And Tina and that was it. I don't think Pat Morita was leading man material although I liked him as a secondary character on Happy Days.
