Dateline NBC has aired four of these now in the last two years, and it really opens your eyes to how real the problem of pedophilia is. In the four episodes that they've done, they've caught close to 100 people including A rabbi, Christian and non-Christian youth counselor's, a police officer, firefighter's, and even teacher's, coming to have sex with what they thought was an underrage child. They actually work with a group called "perverted justice" to catch these people, and I applaud them for what they do. This video is graphic for obvious reasons, so it's definitely not for everyone, but I do think it's important to post stuff like this so that people get a better understanding of just how widespread this problem truly is. I know alot of people claim that everyone already knows, and that it's pointless to post stuff like this, but obviously everyone doesn't know, considering the fact that recent studies show that 1-5 kids have been approached online by an adult for sex, and many of them have even met up with these people to tragic results. If everyone already knew, as these people claim, then these situations wouldn't be happening all the time. And they're not isolated incidences either, and this video proves that. If Dateline can do 4 episodes and catch nearly 100 people, then God only knows how serious this stuff is worldwide. Anyway, here's the video for anyone who's interested. It may take awhile to download depending on your internet speed, but I think it's very informative, and worth the wait. I think these videos are really interesting, and they open your eyes to what is going on. It suprises me that so many of the people they catch seem like normal people who would never do something like that.

I know, that's one of the things that's so scary. Many of these guys look like people who could be your best friend. I think this video is a good example of why we shouldn't judge people on their outward appearance, because we just don't know what's going on in their hearts.
Btw, I have to make a correction. I said that it was close to 100 people who showed up, but I just looked it up, and 130 people actually showed up to meet with what they thought were children, only to find out that it was really Dateline NBC on the other side of the door.

I've seen those specials. I agree that it is very scary knowing that there are so many of these perverts out there preying on our children. It really cracks me up though when these guys are confronted how they say they just came over to "hang out" without any sexual intentions when the evidence is right ther in front of them.

I saw one of these episodes once. The guys are so stupid. It's quite funny... but sad when you think about what they wanted to do with the underage kids.

I know. It's even sadder when you think of all the guys who have probably succeeded with their perverted quests. :(

The group does a good service in setting up these perverts, because law enforcement can't always find them easily. Things like this are signals to parents to pay attention to what their kids are doing online.

I've seen two of these shows, and they are quite the eye-opener. I like how the pervs think they can just walk away. The look on their faces when they realize they've just been bagged is priceless. They usually have booze and other stuff with them, lol.

A few weeks ago, they aired one where this guy brought along his 7 year old son to what he thought was a teenage boys house. That one shocked me beyond belief. On another one, the guy showed up naked, and wanted the girl to perform sex acts on her cat for him. It is so scary to know that there are freaks like this out there walking our streets.

Yeah, I saw those episodes, too! I just started getting into it this time around.
It's amazing the idiotic things those guys will say when they get them on the spot, like using the logic that they drove 3 hours away at 2 am to tell the girl she shouldn't be inviting men to her house off the internet when she's alone.
One thing that was kind of funny to me though (and maybe it shouldn't be) is that 19 year old girl they use as a decoy. She REALLY does look 13 or 14! But her voice is what makes me laugh...like when that guy showed up and you hear this squeaky, nasaly little voice going "Hey PEPE are you there??"

I've seen several of these specials, and they are deeply disturbing. It makes you realize how many predators are out there, waiting to pray upon innocent children. The network could probably run this operation every day and could catch just as many perverts...

I applaud Dateline NBC for bringing this out into the open. I was surprised to see the so call "Normal looking men" they have caught.
I could not believe that young guy who stripped in the entrance and was running looking for a cat!
That is some scary stuff.
I've always told my mother and sisters that it's all around us. I've told my sons.
I hope they continue bringing those lecivious monsters out to the fore front.

I watch these shows as well. Especially the episode with the man who got naked and brought cool whip, wanting to see her "play" with the cat. I couldn't imagine what would've happened if cops hadn't been there. What I find funny is most of these guys say, "Yeah I've seen Dateline NBC before. This is the part where the cameras come out." They KNOW they will get caught and they do it anyway! And they all say the same thing, "this was my first time, it won't happen again." "I didn't come here to do anything bad, we were just going to talk." "No I always carry condoms on me." Plllllease.
One thing I don't like about this show is my mother watches it and she knows how unsafe the internet is so she doesn't like me being on here. All I can tell her is to trust me, I would never do anything that stupid. Luckily she does trust me. :)

I saw that episode and I was in shock as how bold and SICK that man was. I'm always wondering, Do these men every wonder where the parents are. And I saw one episode where a guy went to the house and it was after 2 in the morning. I knew that there were sick and crazy in the world but not that many.
