Has anyone seen Britney Spears on Dateline NBC?
I'm glad that Matt Lauer interviewed her and asked her questions about the state of her marriage and baby Sean.
The papapparazzi has stalked her and all the tabloid magazines love to dish out their dirty laundry. She told the audience that she's happy with Kevin Federline and things are good at home. At one point she cried because she wished the reporters would give her a break. I felt for her. She's a young lady just trying to live her life. I'm glad she came on TV and gave us the scoop on her life. :)

She looked really stupid chewing gum while being interviewed. WTF is that her saying 'I am an emotional wreck' but in a good way? Wreck and good don't go on the same sentence. She likes Kevin because he's 'simple'?

she laughingly with a Louisiana twang stated "my daddy did that all the time with me" when asked abt the BABY IN THE LAP incident, which by the way is against the law, not to mention STUPID AND DANGEROUS. Sooo, because daddy did it back in the days, it's ok to do now with your own child???? she coyly avoided the question, she laughed it off. Matt wasn't smiling or laughing when he just stared at her as she stated this.

Yeah, I always say that Britney #2 just looks like Britney #1's out of shape, trashy, less hot older sister.

I thought the interview did her some favors. My opinion of her changed a bit. I don't by any means believe she's a role model, but I also don't think she's the worst mother ever. I think she geniunely cares for the baby, and loves her husband. I do think she's a bit stupid on certain issues, but I do respect her more now.

I didn't watch it but I really feel bad for Brit. Everybody says that she's a bad mother, but she hasn't even gotten a chance to figure out how to be mom without the paparazzi following her. I think she would be better off moving to Bahrain and becoming a recluse like Michael Jackson.

Being a mother, no mother is ever perfect. She shouldn't be ragged on for almost tripping and dropping her baby. I had that happen in my own house! I cannot forget though her stupidity and her assinine excuse for putting her baby in her lap while driving. How she COYLY avoided the question and trying to answer it with a WELL MY DADDY DID IT.
She should have been a grown up right there and admitted it was the wrong thing to do. Just like she stated Kabbalah wasn't the "thing" for her...how she married her best friend in Vegas "just because of the pressure of people telling me what i can and can't do"...etc.

Oh, I know. He was dead serious. I wanted him to ask her how old she was when she did that. I'm sure she was a little bit older and was able to grad onto the wheel. She was driving on a major freeway with her 8 month-old who couldn't grasp anything.

I really don't feel sorry for her. She's a celebrity. Having the papapparazzi around comes with the business. I think she completely lied when she talked about her relationship with Kevin. How could she not know that he was seeing another woman who was pregnant with his child? Shar was all over the news and magazines talking about Kevin and Britney. She had to know something. Plus, Britney put her ownself out there. Remember, she made that reality show of her and Kevin. If she wanted to be so private and left alone, then don't do a reality show. Another thing, Matt asked is she believed in karma or if karma will come back to her or something of that nature, and she said no because she's happy. Ha! Karma comes back whether you are happy or not.

wasn't he dead serious???? damn...the look he gave was like WTF???? ARE YOU SERIOUS??? He was so serious with her, treating her like the adult she should have been behaving like and she could come up with crazy ass responses. Matt Laurer's tone and attitude, you could hear how he was basically stating ARE YOU SERIOUS??? Like a parent talking to a child.
When she compared her marriage to that of Julia Roberts, i laughed so hard. Matt telling her you believe in KARMA...don't you worry that Kevin will do to you what he did to his former girlfriend (mother of this two kids)...Matt describing to Britney how she is in the same exact spot as Kevin's former girlfriend (one kid and one pregnancy) and was she worried? I LOVED IT...YOU GO MATT!!!!! When he asked did you not know abt him being with another woman...her response: Well, I went by what his friends told me...they said he wasn't with her, etc. etc. etc. OMG!!! how ignorant is that. You don't have your boyfriend's friends tell you anything...YOUR BOYFRIEND IS SUPPOSED TO BE HONEST WITH YOU ABT THOSE THINGS.

Exactly! Apparently, she couldn't figure that out. Oh, how about when Matt asked her how far along she was, she didn't even know! Come on now! She said she was 6 or 7 months. She didn't know how many months she was. Makes me wonder if she's getting proper prenatal care.

i think she very well knows how far along she is. she is probably worried that others will think how bad it is to have kids so close together.
why doesn't she just live in Louisiana if the paparazi here is sooo bad? I mean, this is southern Calif. here. Where ever you go here, there they are. You see them so much, you kinda forget abt them. If she goes to THEE MOST EXPENSIVE places to shop or eat, there they are. They don't even follow people most of the time. They know what places to go and sit and wait. They will take pics of whoever comes along. Also, some of the employees of stores and restaurants tip off the paparazzi and let them know who is coming by, who is there, etc. So why shop or eat at places if you already know??? The Ivy Restaurant has outdoor seating. everyone knows this. and then the celebs get mad for the paparazzi for sitting out front taking pics???? if you are eating outside you are only asking to have your pic taken...

Britney was "defiant" remember when she married the 1st guy? for 55 hours?
Then she met Mr. Kevin F......... This gal just wanted a stable married kind of life. She didn't care who it was with.
I do believe she fell in love with Kevin. Now she has to lie in her own soup. As time goes on she will grow up.
She will see Kevin for who he is. I do want to see her happy though.
I wish her well.......... :)

Britney made a fool of herself. That whole interview was laughable. How could she suggest it was okay for her son to be in her lap while she was driving? Saying she did it with her dad. "We're country," she says. WTF is she talking about? First of all, she sounded like an idiot with her word choices--throughout the whole interview, and what was with the zillion air quotes?. But seriously, driving in a probable rural area as a kid while you sort of controlled the steering wheel is not the same thing as an infant being in your lap while you drive in LA traffic. Yes, the paparrazzi are on her ass too much, but you know why I think that is? For starters she shouldn't live in southern CA if she is so bothered by being bombarded by them because that's where the paparrazzi are mostly. Another thing is, the paparrazzi really started out treating her like other celebs. Although they can go too far with most celebs they have gone further with her BECAUSE she has had so many moments of looking like an idiot. And it's just built up to where if she goes anywhere even outside of CA, she is terribly bothered. But it could die down if she lived somewhere else. AND STOPPED BEING A FOOL. The photographers are constantly waiting for her to just make another stupid move. Part of why she tripped in the street with her son is because her pants were ridiculously covering her wedge shoes. I saw the close-ups.
I used to love Britney. But now she is outer limits. And that looking down and sad attitude when asked about Kevin. Hell yes she is lying that they are getting along! But good luck with that, Brit. Good luck, period. When if comes down to it, I think she is a nice person. Just misguided. Terribly misguided.

You are so right. I missed this post before I made mine. Since she lives in southern California, they know every step she takes. So even when she goes somewhere else, they follow her. Although I do think the paparrazzi can be too intense, I never really feel sorry for a celebrity that chooses to live in CA. If you don't have to be there for work (which Britney doesn't), then live somewhere else if you don't like the attention. That's the price you have to pay.

Britney stated how her father said to her how her Malibu house is like a "resort". that may be the appeal she loves. Living here not so far from Malibu, I can understand the appeal, the beauty, the beaches, etc.
But, when you have more money than Buddha, why do you choose to live where the paparrazi are going to hound you? TAKE YOUR COUNTRY ASS BACK TO LOUISIANA. Believe me, the paparrazi will get tired of the country and move on to other people. You are so right abt them waiting for her to make her next "oops" move. This happens to almost every celebrity. One day it will go away...until then, live here and suffer.
as for her dad having her "drive around on his lap" is a lame ass excuse. So what??? DOESN'T MEAN IT SHOULD BE DONE....HELLOOOOOO DUMMY.
Oh God, and that gum chomping of hers was soooo classless.
and what was up with her milk-filled boobies falling out? even when she is pregnant she still feels the need to be "half-naked"????

Ditto 100%. She has a home in Lousiana... or she did. She should spend time there, especially if she wants her son to grow up in the most normal environment possible, which obviously can't happen being followed all the time. I was just thinking though... maybe she and hubby have to live in southern CA because he's trying to launch his music career.
Yes, here attire was dreadful! I noticed it during the previews--what was she thinking wearing that? Talk about low class for a primetime interview. Casual does not mean she has to be half-clothed.
(sorry everyone--this is old news now, but I don't come online very often)
