Jack Lemmon passes away

Jack Lemmon has died. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif He was 76 and was battling cancer. The scary part is yesterday, I said to my friends and family that I have a feeling he is going to die soon! I remember the last time I saw him he didn't look too good. He looked very sickly. It's a shame--a real shame. First Carroll now Jack. They always say death comes in three's--Carroll O'Connor, John Lee Hooker and now Jack Lemmon--one of the best actors ever. We'll miss you Jack!

This is very sad news. I always loved him and Walter Matthau in the Odd Couple movies and the rest of the movies they were in.

Isn't it kind of eerie though that Walter died July 1, 2000 and Jack died so close to July 1st.

As morbid as it sounds, I always had trouble picturing him living much longer than Walter Matthau. Perhaps because they were such good friends and made excellent movies together.

*Sigh*. This is the first year in 3 that I did not pick him for my death pool.
