Married Friends
This sitcom is about three married couple who have been lifelong friends living in San Francisco. First couple is Andy and Lydia Duerschmidt (Vaughn, Remini). Second couple is Tom and Brenda Hagerty (Savant, Leighton). Third couple is Mike and Julie Alden (Estes, Bissett).
Andy, Mike, and Julie all went to high school and college together. Julie and Tom are sister and brother. Tom and Brenda are high school sweethearts, as are Mike and Julie. Andy and Lydia met during college. Andy and Mike were fraternity brothers, as Julie and Lydia were sorority sisters.
Nowadays, Andy and Mike started up and run their own auto shop as mechanics. Lydia is a nurse at the local hospital. Tom is an accountant. Brenda is high school English teacher. Julie is a housewife who's decided to go back and finish her degree (after she dropped out before graduating).

Ep1: Pilot Episode:
Lydia surprises Andy with two free tickets to a San Diego Padres game, Andy makes a big mistake and takes Mike along with him instead of Lydia. Lydia becomes angered by her husband's actions. Meanwhile, Julie is also ticked off by Mike just ditching Julie on their well-in-advanced-planned-day-to-themselves. Julie and Lydia decide to go out for Margaritas, and end up getting hammered and hit it by college-aged guys. Meanwhile, Tom and Brenda spend their anniversary at a romantic Bed and Breakfast.
Ep2: Return Of Long-Lost Relatives:
Andy and Lydia get a surprise visit in the middle of the night from Andy's much-younger brother, Mitch (Dane Cook). Mitch needs a place to crash as he is going through a big roughpatch in his life: he got fired, evicted, and dumped by his pregnant fiancee ALL on the same day. Andy and Lydia let Mitch crash on their couch for a few days, which is all fine and dandy until Mitch and his habits are getting on Andy and Lydia's last nerves. Also, Mike and Julie discuss the topic of having kids, but both agree not is not a good time to have kids. Also, Tom and Brenda get a shockingly surprising guest at their doorstep--their long-lost daughter who they had given up for adoption after an 18-year-old Brenda gave birth to her and Tom's baby!
Ep3: Adopted Orphan:
Tom and Brenda learn their biological daughter, Chloe (Willa Holland) informs them that her adoptive parents were killed in a car accident which leaves her an adopted orphan. Tom and Brenda argee to let Chloe live with them, Chloe asks them if they will adopt her back again after all these years. Tom and Brenda at first are perplexed and unsure, but after a few days of being with "their actual daughter", they agree to get her back as their own. Meanwhile, Julie and Mike inform Lydia, Andy, and Mitch (Dane Cook) about Tom and Brenda having Chloe and giving her up back in high school.

Ep4: Mitch's Girl:
While staying with Andy and Lydia, Mitch gets a visit from his ex-fiancee whos carrying his child (Jessica Simpson) who wants him back badly and will stop at nothing to get "her Mitchie" back. Meanwhile, Mike and Julie argue over who was suppose to make dinner. Also, Tom and Brenda's lifestyle is about to change with their new teenage daughter living with them.
Ep5: Privacy Is Necessary:
Tom accidently walks in on Chloe in the shower, after thinking it was Brenda in the shower. Tom and Chloe find that they are extremely uncomfortable around each other. Brenda tries to bring them together, so they can discuss privacy and boundaries. Meanwhile, Lydia gets an earful from Julie about how she feels her and Mike's marriage is in danger. Lydia informs Andy, who tells Mike-who is in denial about his rocky marriage.
Ep6: Talking It Out:
Mitch and his former fiancee (Jessica Simpson) get back together, meaning Mitch packs his things is leaving his brother's house-which pleases Andy and Lydia greatly. Also, Mike and Julie talk about seeing a marriage counselor, but Mike is reluctant to attend the meeting. Tom and Brenda experience their first mishap with parenting when Chloe lies to them about attending an alcohol-free party.
Ep7: Counting On You:
Tom makes a major error at his accounting firm for a big, impatient jerk of a client. Mike agrees to meet Julie after work for their first marriage counseling session, yet Julie is devastated and furious when she learns Mike has ditched her and has changed his mind about coming. Lydia and Brenda take Chloe to the mall, where Chloe is caught for shoplifting lipstick. Brenda is not angered by Chloe's shoplifting, but much more embarrassed. Brenda secretly fears she is still not ready for motherhood.
Ep8: Drowning Our Sorrows:
Tom and Mike go out for drinks and end up drowning their sorrows about being bad husband (Mike) and bad father (Tom). Julie decides to give Mike an ultimatum: marriage counseling or divorce. Lydia decides to take Julie and Brenda out for margaritas to take their mind of a failing marriage and a failed attempt at motherhood. Meanwhile, Andy gets a surprise visit from Chloe, who does everything in her power to seduce the clothes off of Andy. Andyis flattered but turns down Chloe's seduction methods.
Ep9: Good Surprise, Bad Surprise:
Mike surprises Julie by scheduling six marriage counseling sessions, Julie AND Mike attend their first one. Meanwhile, Chloe lies to Tom and Brenda about Andy coming on to her and raping her. Shocked "new parents" as they are, they side with Chloe and set out to get answers from Andy, who having dinner with Lydia and another couple that Lydia works with. Andy AND Lydia are insulted when Tom and Brenda accuse Andy of raping Chloe, when they know Andy wouldn't do any such thing, especially to a minor who is the daughter of a friend.

Ep10: Life Happens:
Andy and Mike learn the garage's debt is getting too much for them to handle. Mike and Andy decide to call it quits and close down the garage. Meanwhile, Lydia refuses to accept Brenda and Tom's apologies after they learn Chloe lied about it all. Lydia tells the Hagertys off once and for all, which really makes Tom and Brenda rethink things. Julie tries to bond with her long-lost niece, Chloe who is not too open with her "new" Aunt Julie.
Ep11: Closing The Doors:
Mike and Andy are joined by their wives as they close up the shop and put it up for sale. Meanwhile, Tom and Brenda find a note from Chloe which informs them that she ran away from home. Julie gets a call from Brenda-who informs them about Chloe running away. Julie is asked to help Brenda and Tom find Chloe, but Mike sides with the Duerschmidts about not going out to help look for the girl who accused Andy. Julie is torn between her brother and sister-in-law AND her husband and best friends.

This is the series finale of the new sitcom "Married Friends". Yet there will be a spin-off sitcom from this short-lived sitcom, entitled "New Beginnings". "New Beginnings" stars Vince Vaughn and Leah Remini as their beloved characters: Andy and Lydia Duerschmidt; and how they moved away from San Francisco in search of a new beginning.
