Who Remembers Kubaney?

For those, who don't know, Kubaney was a label started in Havana, Cuba in 1955 and primarily focused on Danzones and Guajiras. It wasn't until they moved to Miami in 1959 that they began having merengue artists on the label. The artists were from the Dominican Republic and included Johnny Ventura, Cuco Valoy, and Leonardo Paniagua. Some recent news I heard from my coworker at UMGD was that Emusica bought Kubaney, including its musuc catalog. Now the music will be remastered and re-released. Anyone know of any other merengue or Kubaney atists?

I remember Kubaney because my brother had an LP collection with some artists from that label. That's all I know.
