Sun TV (From Toronto) will add 3 new shows to their daytime TV classics block this September.

Family Affair, Leave it to Beaver, King of Kensington, Columbo, McMillan & Wife, McCloud & Beachcombers continue to bring in strong ratings and will remain on their Fall schedule.

New shows to be included are Here’s Lucy, Chico and the Man, and Danger Bay will join their line-up this fall. :)

I was a little worried when I read the official announcement today because I figured that "Family Affair" and "Beaver" were going to be replaced with these new old series. Instead, both shows get to stay. So now SUN TV's afternoon lineup is twice as strong as in Sept. 2005. That also means "Baretta" likely won't be back. (As if anyone will miss it...) So that means the lunch hour will probably look like this:

12:00 Family Affair
12:30 Leave It To Beaver
1:00 Here's Lucy
1:30 Chico and the Man

Not bad for a channel that's not even a year old!

TVTropolis, eat your hearts out! :p :p

I don't have this channel so this news does me no good.

They're also adding Veronica Mars since CTV will not be airing it. I'm in London... how do I get this station??

DB, you could try to buy a satellite system to get SUN TV. It will be on both Bell ExpressVu and StarChoice, or see if your cable company will get it as part of a digital cable package. Talk to them about it and see what they suggest. For others who already have it, or are curious about learning more about it, you can go to their web page at www.suntv.canoe.ca, or you can check out their new fall schedule right here. You're sure to find something you like:

Notice how the early afternoon lineup is exactly how I predicted it would be yesterday. Those of you familiar with SUN TV might notice a touch of irony. In its first season, SUN TV carried Freddie Prinze Jr. 's series "Freddie" in prime time. Now, starting in Sept. it will offer his father's series "Chico and the Man". I think that's a nice touch.

YES! Us Canadians finally get something good! Thanks for posting this! But... Danger Bay? Isn't that already airing on DejaVu? I wish they could have picked something else. I'll be recording Here's Lucy because it is going to take a while for it to be on DVD...
