here's the dealio:

i could have become a cashier starting today but the hours are virtually the same. at best i'd get to work 12-8. and cashier's make 60 cents less than what i make right now. basically the lady told me people work at meijer for a decade before they can work first shift... which is what i want. so for now i'm still working in stocking. it wasn't that bad today... no heavy dog food and cat litter. i still hate meijer though. customers are bitches and i think im the only person in my department that doesn't smoke.

but omg... the worst part is this old man who stocks groceries. he bossed me around the ENTIRE time. he is NOT my boss so i wish he would leave me the hell alone. i got ****ty with him a couple times because he was being a bossy ass. he determined that it was his responsiblity to teach me how to do returns (umm isn't my team leader supposed to show me these things?). so we go around to EVERY register to get the food returns that they keep in baskets. and then we went behind the service desk to get tons more food. well it wouldnt all fit in the cart. so we went and returned all of those items. i was ready to take my dinner because it was 8oclock. so he said fine (as if he can approve when i take my dinners) and that he was going to do the other returns. well come another 90 minutes later, 30 minutes before i leave, he's all "i told you to do these returns!" and i said NO you did not. you said YOU were doing them when i went to take my dinner. but i said i don't care... i'll do them now in my last 30 minutes. but the little ******* got ****ty and said "no, no. i'll do them." and i was like "no you said i was supposed to do them so i'll do them." and he was like "no i have 30 minutes left too and ill just do them. 33 minutes to be exact" (his words). UGH!!!!!!!! and then as i was leaving he was outside smoking and i just walked past him because i hate him and he was like "you leavin jeffrey?" and i quickly said "yep" when i was walking on. i'm seriously telling my team leader if he bothers me tomorrow. and then every time i was trying to stock he kept grabbing stuff off my cart to put it away and im like "do u just want to do this?" i mean wtf leave it alone... i can find it. so basically if i don't quit i'm gonna be fired for assaulting this jerk.

the head of the entire grocery dept. was pretty nice though when i said i wanted to transfer. he said it was fine and even offered stocking meat or produce cuz it's easier. but then he saw me stocking and asked what was up and i said the hours weren't any different. and he said most days won't be as bad as last friday and that normally i wouldn't be stocking things like dog food and cat litter. and he mentioned working at a STARBUCKS they're aparently installing at meijer. that would be fun if it didn't mean a pay cut! and who knows when that will be done... probably not til after summer.

It's really not that big of a deal. I worked 3 graduations the past two weekends doing parking and now JJ, the guy in charge of parking, wants me to do that for the rest of the season. Now I would much prefer to keep my guest services job taking tickets at the VIP gate and still be working for Lynne, who I like better than JJ anyway. He's going to try and get me more money but if it's only $1 more an hour I'm actually going to be losing money because parking people don't work as many hours as guest services.

PHILIP QUAST :drool: He's an Australian actor and he played Javert in the 10th Anniversary Cast of Les Misérables. That's the only LM CD I have as of now, but I completely fell in love with his voice, saw him as Javert, and kind of gagged? Then I found some videos of him singing as Javert, his looks grew on me, and then I melted everytime I saw him. I don't find him as attractive with the thinner face and no huge sideburns - like I said, I'm odd - but yeah, he's pretty much just ... UNGH.
