My Grandfather just got a parakeet and he doesn't know any English. He just wants to learn a little more about them

Well I had those kind of birds before but I was too young. I'll tell you all I can.

A healthy birds eyes must be clear. Make sure he stays warm. But keep him out of direct sun light and drafts. You should feed him Parakeet seed and keep his food dish filled so he can nibble all day. I like to give my cockatiel weekly showers with a spray bottle with warm water. Birds like that.

They need fresh water every day and they can learn to talk if you are patient and consistent. If they are tame and have their wings clipped, they can stay of their cage for short periods of time but you have to fix your house so they can't hurt themselves, like crashing into window blinds.

That's some of the important stuff. I will see what other stuff I can find out for you.

Maybe you should buy a book and translate it for him or get on the internet and search under Chinese Book Stores.
