I agree. The old format was much better. This just sucks that I have to click in every section to get to the boards I post in.

It ain't that that's bugging me, it's all these dang popup ads. I mean they DO help pay for the site and all, but I'm sick of getting a popup show up every 15 seconds.............I mean I don't mind banners and AN OCCASIONAL popup now and then, but this is getting crazy. And it's the same 3 popups everywhere.

If I wanted the x10 Wireless CAm 2, Whatever that is with the colonize.com ad with the "1 message waiting for you", and this stinking credit card ad (I see it one more time, ...arrgh). I'm sick of all these dang popups.

I have *no idea* what you guys are running into (the pop-ups and such) because I haven't seen them.

Don't know if my bookmarking the fanfic page and jumping to there and then using the links provided at the top of the page to the other bb pages of interest gets me past the "clutter" or not.

It seems to, since the only change I noticed was to the folder directory near the links.

Just a thought!

Then again, we must remember that the ads and pop-ups help generate revenue to allow sites to grow and stay active. Very, *very* important!

Let's have faith in TJ. He's made everyone happy on this site before and I don't think he'll disappoint us this time. Look at it this way. A lot of you are unhappy how it looks. But look how many NEW shows were added just today.

I don't really mind the new design.

But about the pop up adds. They don't even load all the way. An error message comes up and says <There was an Error With The Scripts. Do You Want To Continue?> It's very distracting. I wouldn't mind if they loaded though. THey generate revenue to pay for this service.

Do what I do, open more than one window at once, you know, one for FOL, one for Chitchat, one for TC's. It's till annoying though. It slows down my compouter. I agree with you 100% that this site should be changed like it was before, but hey, what can we do??? It's TJ's site. [what does TJ stand for anyway??]

I do that, but the thing I'm getting annoyed at is that you can't see if there are any new messages until you click a couple times. It was just easier when it was all on one page.

When you run your own site, you are welcome to use any design you see fit. If this is the way TJ wants it, remember, it is HIS site!!!!

Yes, the pop-ups suck, but there are programs out there that can be used to kill them. I'll post some up later.

I'm very sorry some of you don't like the new setup. Yes, you may have to make a few extra clicks but I've tried to make it as easy to navigate as possible. It should load faster now even if you have to make a few extra mouse clicks. Keeping all the boards on one huge big page was not a realistic option if I wanted to add some more and to continue the boards to grow. I couldn't have certain people (who shall remain nameless) continue to re-load that main page which was over 150k several hundred times a day.

As far as the popups, I don't like them myself but they generate too much revenue to disable them. If you don't like them, you have 2 options 1) get used to them or 2) go to download.com and get one of the popup killers. A lot of major sites like ESPN.com, NYTimes.com, Netscape.com, Amazon.com are starting to use them and your going to see more and more of them as the dot coms try to survive.

This is just a suggstion, but what if you put the general questions, theme songs, tape trading, chit chat, etc. under one heading. So they are all in one area instead of having 4 or 5 different ones with only one category. Just and idea. This is still an aweome message board and we thank you for running it.
