Over the weekend I saw two things that I felt gave off a FEMININE VIBE. A man crying after he lost a basketball game and a guy crying around 4 other guys after he was rejected by a girl on a new dating show called-"NEXT" on MTV. I personally believe that you never ever cry after LOSING a game or cry around other men because a woman said he wasn't attractive. Both guys get the WIMP of the Week Award and should be ashamed for what they did ON CAMERA!!!!!!!. Unbelievable

I have to agree. I don't think men OR women should cry after losing a game. My dad used to make fun of the HS girls who would cry if they lost a tournament basketball game. They acted like someone died.
And if someone you never really knew or cared about rejects you, just move on!

Well I guess I'm not one to talk. I am a very emotional person. I love crying! I also think it'd be nice to have a boyfriend who's not afraid of sharing his emotions. Beats that macho guy crap:lol:

I've been known to bang the floor a few times after my team lost but I never cried.

Crying over a game is just childish and poor sportsmanship.
I think crying over a break-up or rejection for a little while is OK, but move on.

I think it is okay for a guy to cry, but not over losing a basketball game or being rejected by a girl he doesn't even know. However, if a guy has had his heart broken or someone close to him has died, I think it is perfectly okay for him to cry.

Well at least those two situations make a lot more sense.
Any sporting contest that I or my team lost I was either just incredibly aggravated, mad, and/or generally pissed off. I think my biggest concern was always not being a sore loser.
And crying over a girl you don't know is just plain pathetic and stupid- each one weighing equally.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

when i was in 5th grade my teacher cried because our class lost an earthball turnoment and another teacher asked why iit was so imporant to her and she said that she was just tired of losing every contest to the teacher that was next door this apperently was after i told her that she was making too big a deal out of the whole thing sorry if this was semi off topic.

I don't think either of those situations are worth crying over, but that's just me.

Because everyone has the power to decide when they will or will not cry, correct?

A man cried on The Weakest Link because he was voted The Weakest Link and took The Walk Of Shame. He cried in the interview. That was a memorable show for me, and I never saw that pisode again.:(

In my opinon it is ok for guys to cry in some situations. I probably wouldn't cry in these situations, but if someone cries after a basketball game I don't think it shows bad sportsmanship or anything. It just shows that they cared a lot about the game. It is a bit wimpy if the game isn't important though.

I can think of a lot worst things to cry over then a game. I've been angry watching games and their have been times when I get so stressed out with how my team's doing that I'll change the channel for awhile but I've never cried.

Yes there definatly is a lot worse things to cry about but I think that if someone wants to cry about something as simple as basketball they should be able to without people gawking.
