Never knew this scene existed in superman

I bought the DVD of superman the movie with christopher reeve and was shocked to see a scene I never knew exsisted, after he reveals himself to the world, you know where he saves lois lane from the heliocopter crash he then saves the presidents plane from crashing and gos back to the ice cave and speaks to jorel about his experiences and how it made him feel good, I never knew that that scene in the cave exisisted, am I the only one who didnt know about that scene?

When the movie was shown on television, some deleted scenes (never shown in
theaters) were restored. But the scene you describe, in the Fortress of
Solitude, was not one of them. I have never seen that one. Very interesting.
