Tomorrow I am going to the dermatologist. I am going because I have a big ugly mole and two skin tags on my back. That will be my first time there so I am not sure if they will remove them tomorrow. They are real annoying because if I lean against a wall with my back it moves and pulls them. Same with when I take of my shirt or have a back pack on. I have read they can either freeze them off or they will numb it and cut it off. Anyone ever had this done before?

My boyfriend had that done a year ago. He had this large mole, like how you describe, on his back. He hated it. it did what you just described, it would get snagged on his shirts, etc. Finally had that sucker taken off. The doctor injected a numbing medicine thru a hyperdermic needle and when it was numb the doctor with a scalpel cut right around the the mole and took it off. Kinda like cutting out a black part of a potato. Two stitches and VIOLA!!!!! just a scar. He also had skin tags taken off from his neck area. Doctor just lifted the tag and snipped away...Good Luck!!!!!!! you will be glad you had it done.

I have had many skin tags and moles removed. One of them was on my forehead. My dermatologist numbed it first and then used a scapel to cut them off. Real easy and almost painless. I am glad I had it done because they were really painful.....

You have NOTHING to worry about :) It's very fast and very painless! From the time the doc prepares the mole and skin tag location(s) for removal to the time they put bandages over the spots, usually takes no more than 10 minutes. :) I should know, I had several moles and one painful skin tag removed.

The worst part is having to keep putting bandaids on it until the hole the removal leaves fills in and your skin is flat again. For the first few days, you put like Neosporin or similar on it, and then start with Vaseline to keep it moist. If it dries out, it's more likely to scar.
And since it's your back, I hope you have someone who will change your bandaids for you. Last skin tag I had removed was on the back of my neck and that is impossible to see even with mirrors.

I had this done a couple years ago, one on my back another by my shoulder.
The only think I have to complain about is that the scars are itchy sometimes. Otherwise, it was no big deal.

My boyfriend had it done on the back of his neck. Anytime he'd get his hair cut the hairdresser would snag it. His mom took it off at home. She's a trained professional.

there is some crazy way of doing it that i have heard from different people. You take one strand of your hair (preferably a long strand) you place the middle of the strand against the tag and you wind the strand around the tag; then by pulling each end of the strand you cut thru the tag. I think that is crazy, but if people can do it and don't want to spend the money, why not.

I got it done in like 5 minutes. He said where is it, numbed it and it was gone. I couldn't believe it happened just like that.
BTW it only cost 15 dollars to remove two skin tags so I don't think its worth doing that hair thing Irene mentioned. Pulling out a piece of my hair would hurt more anyway-lol I felt no pain at all when they took it off, I didn't even know he already did it.

I wouldn't recommend that hair thing either...but there are people that have A LOT of skin tags and they either can't afford to see a doctor or don't want to spend the $$$ to have it done. I have seen people with what seemed like abt 50 around their necks.

50, wow. I thought two was a lot. I was lucky mine weren't visible from when I had my shirt on. I would hate to have had them on my neck or face.

It's good that they're being removed. Doctors can tell if moles look suspicious, so I'm sure it's only moles.

You would have to have long hair to do that
Another version I have heard is to take unwaxed tooth floss (the thin kind) or sewing machine thread, wrap it around the tag once and make a TIGHT tie. Keep it like that until the tag falls off.
