Not that I'm coming around to TJ's way of thinking and believing that these guys will ever win a penant, but I didn't want the score of last night's game to go unnoticed by certain St. Louis fans on this board.

Chicago Cus: 12
St. Louis Cardinals: 6

In the words of Nelson the bully, renown philosopher: "HA! HA!"

On a side note, I watched my last night game from the roof of my townhome. I am very sad indeed. Why did I have to move during a season where the Cubs are actually winning? Boy, do I have bad timing.

I saw the highlights, that game was reminiscient of the old fog bowl - remember that Bears vs. Eagles playoff game? Could you make out any players coily2?

What's the Cubs magic number to clinch? This is our year!

I saw the outfield OK. Many rooftop seats are closer in then some of the upper grandstand seats, but mine is set a bit back. Next time you see a game on TV, I'm not too far behind the roof with the Budweiser logo.

But to answer your question, I had a hard time making out infield action. I only watched a couple of innings. It was really cold and drizzling. Rooftops are only fun when you are grilling out polish sausages and drinking some Old Style. Nothing is closer to authentic Chicago http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif

Here is a pretty cool webcam (http://chicagosports.com/cubs/wrigleycam) that gives a 360 degree view of Wrigley. It looks really foggy out there right now.

When Zuleta hit that gran slam there was no one happier than me! I'm not a CUBS fan, but I really don't like the CARDINALS. After they embarrassed the BRAVES like that last year in the playoffs, I hope they get spanked every time out this year. Congratulations to Don Baylor and the CUBS!

There's still two games left!!!!! Tonight will be a good pitching line up. I doubt McGwire will be in the line-up. He's supposed to be off every other game until he's 100%. Kile's the number 1 starter and he goes tonight followed by Morris on Thursday. And why is ESPN not picking up tonight's game? Our stupid cable service dropped WGN last year so we don't get any of the Cubs games anymore which sucks at this time of the year! Last night was just bad.

ks-The Braves are just glad that Will Clark retired him because he was a major reason why the Cards hammered the Braves so bad at the end of last year. It wasn't just in the play-offs, but there was two series that he was around for. I was at his first game in Busch. In that game he went from being the devil to the hero. The Braves didn't exactly play stellar ball either. I'm going to laugh my head off if they go on a streak in the next week because my best friend who has been in Spain since September came home today and is a major Braves fan, namely Javy Lopez. I'm used to fighting about the Cardinals and Braves because we do it all the time. If they suddenly turn it around you can blame it on her!!

Yeah, Will Clark came in for his first game in Busch stadium and beat the BRAVES single handed. They didn't have an answer for him.

I've been saying it for a week now--the BRAVES are HOT. Seven out of their last eight and on a five game win streak, and just beginning. They swept the PIRATES, are going for a sweep against the EXPOS, and up next is the YANKEES, BLUE JAYS, and RED SOX!
It's a tough test but I have a gut feeling they're gonna pass.

Don't tell your friend, but I really DON'T LIKE Javy Lopez. He just bugs me because in my personnal opinion he can't play.

CONGRATS to the CUBS!
