Long Sleeve or Short Sleeve Shirt? We had a discussion at work about how a Man's UNDERSHIRT is not supposed to be VISIBLE when wore under a Short Sleeve Summer Shirt or Long Sleeve Spring Shirt. I had never heard that before because I always thought it was a nice look. What do you think?

I never really thought about it enough to have it bother me. Although I do prefer when guys wear wife beaters as opposed to t-shirts.

What are wife beaters?

I think it is fine to wear a t-shirt under a long sleeve shirt, but I don't think they go well with short sleeve shirts.

I don't have a problem with it, my husband wear undershirts all year round even under his t-shirts. I think it's tacky when men don't wear undershirts and you can see their nipples underneath their shirts, That's just wrong.

So I would rather see the undershirt underneath their dress shirt or t-shirt rather then see their nipples. JMO

Wifebeaters are like tank tops for men

Just because a guy doesn't wear a t-shirt under his short sleeve shirts doesn't mean that his "nipples" are showing.

I didn't say short sleeve shirts, the sleeves has nothing to do with nipples showing. When some men don't wear undershirts under light colored dress shirts you can see right through them. I've seen men wear light blue dress shirts and white dress shirts with no undershirt, And you can see nipples, I think it's a tacky look.

ITA, a lot of times you can see right through it and it doesn't look good. AND, not to be gross, but people do SWEAT in the summer, lol, and if you're not wearing something underneath....

The best is when a man is sporting a mullet, a wife beater and is very overweight. What a trifecta.
