Best Buy is OK, but I still prefer Circuit City for big purchases like TVs. What are your thoughts?

I have had less problems at Circuit City then Best Buy and there rebates come faster but it really depends what is on sale at which store.

I don't have any one specific location. It all depends on what good deals and recommendations I find.

Whoever sells it the cheapest!!! I always get help quickly at Circuit City, Best Buy is always so busy and there is never anyone available to talk to.

We don't even have a Circuit City. pissed:

I bought my last laptop at Best Buy. I used to buy almost everything at Ultimate Electronics, but then they went out of business.

For major purchases, I shop around for the best deal, or go to the manufacturer's outlet.

I normally shop at Circuit City for major electronic purchases, but sometimes I do surf the Net to see if I can find a good bargain... :)

I usually like to go to Best Buy. It's actually one of my favorite places to go for stuff, especially DVDs because obviously their selection is a lot huger and broader than a place like Wal-Mart or Target.

Of course, I buy stuff from those places too, usually either if I see that there's a sale or if I just happen to be shopping there and see something I want and buy it on an impulse.

For those who live in the So Cal area... Ken Crane's and Howard's are the best when it comes to electronics.

I've tried Best Buy and I didn't think they were too bad, but I felt that since their pay wasn't based on commission, many of their associates fail to have good product knowledge or customer service (in comparision to other stores.)

Circuit City is TERRIBLE all around. The way their stores are set up is tacky, customer service is crap, and their return policy is enough to keep me away. Sears isn't so bad, but they don't have much of a variety. But they do carry some nice TV's.

 When I was coming out of a Wal-Mart once, some guy tried to sell me some stereo speakers from the back of a van.
