My stupid cable modem has cost me my winning streak in the facts for free contest over on the FOL board.


In real news, eh, nothing major happened to my knowledge excpet this fiasco.

Oh! The humanity!

LOL! Sorry, dude! Been there! Go DSL.... I've had better luck with my DSL line than cable modem, and the bandwidth is better.

2, and a very important one @ that)No one offers DSL where I live. My phone company, no outside parties, no one. (small towm in the Foothills of the Appalachains)

I have dsl and I love it...It'f fast when I'm the only one on (late @ night) but I usually have to share the line with the rest of my family. See, we have our 4 comps all networked (mine, mommy's, daddy's desktop,and daddy's labtop) and we all share the connection...so I usually have like 1/3 or 1/2 of the speed..but it's still much faster than 56k!

Even this ol Cable modem I'm on is faster than 56K. I switched to this beacuse I couldn't connect about a good 1/3 of the day.
