I have a friend with ADD/LD (attention deficit disorder and a Learning disability) I need info on it and how to help people deal with it. Any advice of info would be greatly appreciated.

I had ADD. It was a different disorder in the late 70s/early 80s when I had it. It was something that my parents refused to treat. In those days, you were either medicated or put on the short bus to go to the "special school". As a result, my parents tried to deal with it themselves. Didn't work to well.

One of my friends has a son who has recently been diagnosed with it. I know that she's doing a whole bunch of things that weren't an option when I was a kid, like working with him at home on special exercises designed to help attention span and seeing a therapist.

thee are many great books out there about add and adhd... you should go to your local book store ( usually big chains like Barnes and Noble or Waldens have a better selection.) and ask for books about Attention deficet disoder or go to the library.

my friend has ADD but she handles it differently i mean she goes to some place and gets help but her way of dealing with it is she like shrugs it off or like jokes about it, sometimes she brags about it...thats how she is about it when the subject is mentioned but i do not know how she takes is when she is alone...
