Look!
Via cell phone from the rehearsal
Bucky went first. Fat bottom girls. terrific but she's worried cause he went first. Hair was flowing.
Ace was next We Will Rock You. Put a different spin on the song. Brian May did not want him to change it. leather pants
Kelli was third was decent. NO CONSTANTINE. Copied Connie on the rough notes. Nothing exciting. Shorter than Connstantine. She tried to copy Constantine
next was Chris Innuendo. If you like rock and you like Chris you will like it special effect. Fast and more upbeat and intense. He got a good response at the end
Katherine was next. FebLady cried. Friend got chills. Absolutely ****ing awesome.
Kat sang twice.
Michael Orland stopped by to say hi.
Elliot sang Somebody to Love. not memorable. If you like Elliott's voice it was good. FL thinks he has an old voice and did not seem special. Sounded good, just not extraordinary.
Taylor got the best of the evening. Crazy little thing.
Oh he danced on the table. The ending was great. The audience was up through the whole song. He was dancing. Voice was good. FL likes Taylor.
Paris in the pimp spot. The Show Must Go on. Paris had long straight hair. She sounded good.
Back to Taylor, FL loves him. He got the biggest reaction.
They showed Constantine's face in the screen and singing BR and they screamed. Kellie said she had big shoes to fill.
Queen said they loved everyone.
FL's friend thought Pickler was one of the worst.
Taylor got the biggest response. Ace was second. Katherine got good reaction, too.
Pickler was not memorable as far as crowd reaction. She says she totally tried to copy Constantine.
She says it sounds better live than on TV.

Bucky Covington
"Fat Battomed Girls"- 1978
he's doing alright...honestly one of his best but not spectacular. 8/10.
Randy: Nice way to start the show, a little pitchy but I liked it. It was nice.
Paula: Very interesting, you made it a country-rock song. Great.
Simon: Good choice of song, but the song was bigger then you. Quite mediocre

Fantasia's in the audience
I thought Bucky was pretty decent. Better than what I expected. Probably a 6.5-7/10

Ace Young - 6.5/10
EmoJoe
04-11-2006, 08:17 PM
Ace Young
"We Will Rock You"- 1977
started off weak but i think he gets better. it's ok...not great. 7.5/10
Randy: It was just "aight".
Paula: I like what you tried to do, it was pitchy, but you took a risk.
Simon: It was a complete and utter mess.
ace is out.
EmoJoe
04-11-2006, 08:20 PM
Kellie Pickler
"Bohenium Rhapsody"- 1975
starts off....bad. but i thnink it gets better. she finished much better then she started. it was actually pretty good. 9/10
Randy: You worked it out!
Paula: Very ambitious, started off hesitant but you rocked it out and showed the rocker chick that you were.
Simon: It worked. You did good.
David
04-11-2006, 08:23 PM
Kellie Pickler - better than I expected. And I know everyone's gonna say Constantine was better, but I think a fly can figure that out.
But anyway, I thought it was pretty good. Best so far tonight. 7.5-8/10
And yeah she did kind of look scary in the beginning.
"On paper?!"
EmoJoe
04-11-2006, 08:30 PM
Chris Daughtry
"Innuendo"- 1991
wow, REALLY good! i think it's his best performance yet.
Randy: YOU DELIVERERD BABY TONIGHT!! YEAH!!!
Paula: That last note was great. Great job, the band admired you.
Simon: Best vocal tonight, and best believable vocal tonight. The song was too indulgent.
simon's critisisms are always stupid. you judge on TALENT, not if you like the song or not. it was almost as stupid as his critism for katharine last week.
David
04-11-2006, 08:31 PM
Chris Daughtry - 8.5/10
Best so far tonight, and it was really good. I do agree with Simon though that he potentially could have had that MAGIC moment, but it all came down to song choice. He truly delivered though. :woohoo:
EmoJoe
04-11-2006, 08:32 PM
i have a feeling they want taylor to win. which is dumb, he wont be a sucsessful winner.
EmoJoe
04-11-2006, 08:38 PM
Katharine McPhee
"Who Wants To Live Forever"- 1985
wow, really good. it's a little pitchy at the high notes, but overall, greaat job. 9.5/10. only cause the last note was ouchh.
Randy: This is your element, pitchy in spots, but you did a good job all in all.
Paula: You can handle this song, you did a great job.
Simon: That was "almost" the moment, but it was pitchy in some parts. One of the strongest tonight.
David
04-11-2006, 08:40 PM
Katharine McPhee - 9/10
Haunting. I got chills while listening. I did hear a few tuning problems in the middle of the song, but overall it was a beautiful, beautiful rendition. LOVED it. And DARN, almost THAT moment. So close!

Eliott Yamin
 the radio thing
"Somebody to Love"- 1976
it's not THAT bad, but its not GREAT. it's a good performance, but not good vocals...it's a weaker version of "I Don't Want to Be" for me. it's sort of good though. 8.7/10
Randy: Some pitchy problems, but I loved you man, it was really good.
Paula: Best vocal tonight (im sorry, but no). Best Eliott Yamin performance.
Simon: You chose the top song, it was an in and out performance but you pulled it off.
EmoJoe
04-11-2006, 08:50 PM
Taylor Hicks
"A Crazy Little Thing Called Love"
David sang this in the semi-finals.
It's a different arrangement then David's though.
i think it's a good performance. argh. i dont like taylor, but he impressed me :(. 9/10
Randy: Taylor is back!
Paula: We've heard this song so many times, a breath of fresh air.
Simon: It was ridiculous.
simon is harsh tonight!

ELLIOTT
Ah, I loved it! Admittedly, yeah there were a few bum notes, but overall I enjoyed it. His higher range just hits me and honestly, out of everyones MP3s, his tracks usually sound the best.
9.5/10!!
Taylor Hicks
I enjoyed it, unlike the past 2-3 weeks. It was fun, but eh, I still don't like him. 8.5/10
EmoJoe

Randy: You worked it out baby! Rough beginning and middle, but great!
Paula: You are a powerhouse. Keep rockin'
Simon: It was weird.

my review:
Bucky Covington- I thought Bucky was alright tonight. It wasn't his best and it wasn't his worst. But I thought it was a really strong night, so I could easily see him in the bottom 2 tonight. I think it's him or Ace leaving. Rating: 8/10.
Ace Young- Ace was the worst tonight, and I think he'll be the one to go. It was a great night and Ace did average. It was a bad song choice. Rating: 7/10
Kellie Pickler- Kellie took a risk, and IMO, it paid off. I thought it was good, but I think she HAS had better. I still thought it was really good. Rating: 9/10
Chris Daughtry- Him and Katharine were IMO the best of the night. I thought it was a great performance, and it was my favorite of his to date. Rating: 10/10.
Katharine McPhee - Katharine was also amazing tonight. The vocal was off at times but overall she pulled it off. Rating: 9.5/10
Eliott Yamin- Eliott was great tonight, too, but it wasn't the best of the night like Paula thought. It was a shaky vocal, but performance-wise, he PULLED IT OFF!! I think he could possibly see bottom 3, though. Rating: 8.5/10
Taylor Hicks- Taylor was good tonight too. He impressed me, though I'm not a fan and never was. It ended great. Taylor could land in the bottom 3 but I doubt it. Rating: 8.5/10
Paris Bennett- Paris was easily one of the best of the night. She did a good job tonight, and I think she redeemed herself after being int he bottom 3. Rating: 9/10
Rankings:
1. Chris
2. Katharine
3. Paris
4. Kellie
5. Eliott
6. Taylor
7. Bucky
8. Ace
The bottom 3 SHOULD be:
Taylor
Bucky
Ace
(taylor safe first and bucky or ace leaving)
The bottom 3 WILL be:
Eliott
Bucky
Ace
(Eliott safe first with Bucky or Ace leaving)

I was out all day, so I taped it and just finished watching now. Very.. interesting show...
Bucky - HA! Did I call that or what? :D I knew he'd redeem himself if he sang this song. And what can I say, as much as I dislike him... I thought he did a good job tonight.
Ace - You know, going into the semifinals he was my favorite guy, but it seems week after week rather than getting better he gets... worse? WHAT AN AWFUL AWFUL x 243872437432743284327427432 SONG CHOICE!!!!!!! I mean the song is called We Will Rock You.. Ace is no rocker at all, so why would he pick that song?! All he had to do was sing Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, and he would have been amazing.... bad bad bad bad song choice IMO.
Kellie - I'm sorry, but I didn't really like it. It has nothing to do with the fact that I dislike her as a person, but it was just... awkward. That is the best word I can use to describe it. Like, the happy, perky, naive girl singing Queen's greatest song of all time.....NO!!! I think that's why everyone is so in awe by Constantine's performance of Bohemian Rhapsody last year. He had the personality for it, the voice for it, and the performance skills for it. Kellie just... didn't. She should have gone Katharine's way and done one of their love ballads. I really didn't like it.
Chris - I LOVED IT. Although it's a generally pretty unknown song, I knew that song, since I know most of Queen's songs already. He sang it exactly the way it is supposed to be sung, and with his voice, it was perfect.
Katharine - I thought she did great. Perfect song choice for her! I'm glad she didn't sing Don't Stop Me Now.. that would have been awkward.
Elliott - Well, he sang my favorite Queen song of all time. I thought it was okay in general. Some parts of the song sounded a little out of tune, but whenever he'd sing the chorus, it'd always sound great!
Taylor - I enjoyed it, only because it is the REAL Taylor - crazy, bizarre, and fun. Vocally it wasn't great, but it was veeery entertaining.
Paris - Great song to match her voice
Bottom 3 prediction:
Ace
Bucky
Elliott
Either Ace or Bucky is going home. Based on all performances, Bucky definitely should go. But based on tonight alone, Ace should go.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤

Elliott was amazing tonight and he sang my favorite Queen song! He could be a bit more charismatic on the stage, but whatever hes got the best male vocals.
Taylor is back! That was amazing! Im so sick of that song from Idol, but he totally nailed it and I really enjoyed it. Hahaha @ the mic stand kick. He needs to win!!
Chris chose a crappy song and it sucked. Im def. not a fan of Chris, but I did expect more out of him on Queen night and thought he wouldve made a better song choice.
Kellie wasnt as bad as I had anticipated, but it wasnt good either. I was hoping for a good laugh, but she was decent. Connie was a lot better though. And her act seriously needs to stop. Its totally fake and I cant believe people believe her. If she wasnt a cute little southern blonde, she wouldve gotten the boot a long time about and everyone would think shes stupid.
Katharines high notes go right through me. Guhh shes like nails on a chalkboard-- especially during the recap at the end! OMG! Her shouting is painful.
Paris was cute. Didnt care for the song, or the gloves, but not bad.
I actually really liked Ace! My 2nd favorite performance of his and its about time. Sadly I think hes going to get the boot tomorrow, but Ill see him on tour so its all good.
I actually like Bucky and Im not sure why. I just dont have a strong hatred for him, but Im too busy bitching about Kat, Chris, and Kellie. Im neutral with him.
I Love John Ritter

Bucky - I thought he did a pretty good job, but he wasn't one of the best tonight.
Ace - I didn't think it was bad, I actually kind of liked it. He will be in the bottom 3, though.
Kellie - I agree with I Love Clay Aiken, it was better than I expected, but it wasn't great.
Chris - He did a pretty good job, but we've seen better from him. I agree with Simon's comment.
Katharine - I also agree with I Love Clay Aiken on this one, her high notes made me cringe. Plus, it was a boring performance, IMHO.
Elliot - HE DID AWESOME!! This is by far my favorite performance from him so far! I LOVED it! AWESOME :D
Taylor -Great performance! I agree with Randy, Taylor is back! This was MUCH better than last week.
Paris - She did great! Awesome job, I really enjoyed it.
I predict Ace, Bucky and Katharine to be in the bottom 3, with either Ace or Bucky leaving. Probably Ace because Bucky got a little bit better reviews from the judges than he did.

My thoughts for tonight...
First of all, I want to say that I thought this was one of the best nights of AI5 yet!
And here's what I thought about everyone and their performances:
BUCKY - I actually liked it. :eek2: For some reason, I hate it when he does country, but I like it when he does songs from other genres. Maybe I just hate country music. :p I dunno...but this was definitely one of his better performances. Probably one of the more forgettable ones of the night though. 7/10.
ACE - UGH. It was just horrible. Really, really bad song choice and he did not sing it well. I'll be damned if he isn't in the bottom three tomorrow. :thumbsdow 5/10.
KELLIE - It wasn't as bad as I expected it to be, but it DEFINITELY wasn't as good as the judges made it out to be. I'm sorry, but if she was trying to match up to Connie...she was waaaayyyyy far off. Oh yeah, and she gets minus points for looking like the Bride of Chucky. ohno: 6/10.
CHRIS - I hated the song, but I thought he sang it reaaaally well. Vocally, it was probably one of his best performances. But ugh...the song! Oh yeah, and what's with the beard? 8/10.
KATHARINE - I loved it! The song showed off the range in her voice and plus, she seemed to put a lot of emotion into it. I think it was just maybe a tad too high though? 8/10.
ELLIOTT - Rock + soul = the perfect mix. I'm not familiar with the song at all, but he still sounded amazing! 8.5/10.
TAYLOR - Surprisingly...I thought he was the best performer tonight! :eek2: I really enjoyed watching his crazy, spastic self again and he chose the perfect song to fit his vocals! Seriously though...does he really wanna win this competition? Sometimes he reminds me of drunk relatives at family parties. 8.9/10.
PARIS - She looked amazing AND she delivered one of the best vocals of the night! Good way to end the show with that combo, and also with a song entitled "The Show Must Go On." 8/10.
RANKINGS FOR TONIGHT
1. Taylor
2. Elliott
3. Katharine
4. Chris
5. Paris
6. Bucky
7. Kellie
8. Ace
Elliott, Bucky, and Ace will most likely be the bottom three tomorrow, with Ace leaving. Ideally, it should be Kellie Pickler instead of Elliott, but we all know how loved she is. -_-
I Love John Ritter
