Books have hit the silver screen for just about the entire time we have had films.
From Wizard of Oz, to Gone with the Wind.
The most recent American Psycho, and Prince of Tides
So what do you think your favorite Book to Movie is?
My top 3 are
Princess Bride
A Christmas Story
and A ClcckWork Orange
Hope to hear some responses!

Most of the movies made from Stephen King's books are pretty good. The two standouts would have to be It and The Shining.
Oh and how could I forget Misery.

The Notebook is my favorite. Although the endings and some elements were different, the theme of everlasting love still remained the same.
"The Godfather" is my favorite book/movie combo.
Actually, stuff from "Godfather II" was pulled from the novel too.

I remember reading the original novel years ago and going to the bookstore afterwards to ask if they had the second novel. I presumed that since there was a Godfather II movie, there had to be a book it was based on.
I walked away disappointed when I was told there was no second novel.
