It was reported today in the Chicago Tribune that producer Stephen J. Cannell has confirmed that screenwriter Bruce Feirstein has written a screenplay for a big screen adaptation of the 1980's television series The A-Team. The film, which will be released during the summer of 2007, will feature none of the cast members of the television show, but Mr. T may make a cameo. Cannell is hoping to get Bruce Willis to star in the film along with other big name stars.

Will Hollywood ever learn? ohno:

"I pity the fool..." - Mr.T
As you already know there's an A-Team movie in the works and it appears that Mr.T will not be asked to reprise his role as BA Baracus.

The following petition is asking director Kevin Brodbin and producer Stephen Cannell to reconsider this casting decision.

No, I don't think they will. Just look at that crapfest Dukes Of Hazzard movie, among others.

Is this going to be a tongue-in-cheek version of the show?

If so, I assume they will overplay the joke of no one dying amidst gunfire and explosions.

Whatever type of film it is going to be, one thing is certain. It will suck.
