Mine was Airplane, and Pink Panther a double feature.

Tickets were 1.50 for both movies.
Pocorn and a drink were 1.50 for a combo- refills of course.

I was hooked.

The one I remember seeing has to be The Champ, with Rick Schroeder or at least one of the first.

Either ET or The Secret of NIMH. Both were released in 1982, but I don't recall which one came out first.

I was five years old and in 1970 my mom and my aunt went to the local theatre to see a spanish drama movie called ROSAS BLANCAS PARA MI HERMANA NEGRA, which means, White Roses for my Black Sister. It is such a sad sad movie. Two friends, one hispanic and one black each have a daughter. The daughter of the hispanic woman falls in love with a black man. This pisses off the mother. The daughter of the black woman gets hit by a truck and is put on life support. The hispanic girl needs a heart transplant. The two mothers aren't speaking to each other because of the hispanic mother's racial bias. but when the young girl needs a transplant, the black mother offers her daughter's heart. It is so sad as you see the death of the black girl and her mother grieving. This is such wonderful acting. You can imagine the rest. The two mothers become friends again but the ending is sooo sad as they visit the grave of the girl who died. I want to get this movie on DVD ASAP!!!

Nightmare on Elm Street 2, I was 5 years old. We were at a Drive In, that was back in the day when they actually had a lot of them. I actually feel a sleep so I didn't see half of the movie

The first one that I remember seeing was the original Walking Tall but I'm sure I saw a few before that. It wasn't at a theater though, it was a Drive-in. I didn't really start going into theater's until the 1980's.

It probably wasn't my first, but it's the first one I remember. My parents took me and my sisters to see, The Greatest Story Ever Told. It's a religious movie, and my memory tells me it was Easter.

She used to take us to drive-in theaters all the time.

I know I saw two 1964 movies at the theater. One was " A Hard Day's Night", which my whole family saw at a drive in theater. That was definitely in 1964, I'm sure...

The other was a movie called "The Brass Bottle", starring Tony Randall, Burl Ives and Barbara Eden. Even though I remeber seeing this in a theater as a kid (I put it on DVD recently, I still enjoy watching that one, has a great cast), I'm not sure if I saw it in 1964 (I would have been 4 or 5 at the time)... It's possible that it may have been re-released on a limited basis after Barbara Eden became famous as Jeanie...either that, or our local theater may have obtained it to show as part of the kiddie matinee shows in the mid-late 60s, which I think is the more likely scenario...

In that one, Randall is engaged to Eden, and Randall obtains a brass bottle, out of which a genie (Ives) appears. Naturally, he tries to hide the fact that Ives is a genie, and everything that can go wrong, does go wrong. Then, naturally, no one believes that Ives is a genie...Not terribly sophisticated by any means, but the cast makes it very enjoyable to watch, and it has a pretty cool ending...

I'm not sure the Brass Bottle is ever shown any more...I taped it about 20 years ago off of a TBS "Morning Movie" showing, and put it on a DVD last year...Commercially, I believe it's available on VHS, but not on DVD.

The earliest movie I can remember seeing at an indoor theater was this Bigfoot movie called The Mysterious Monsters (1975). I must've only been 5 or 6 at the time.

The earliest movie I can remember seeing at the drive-in was The Food of the Gods (1976). It was about giant animals.

I credit my parents for ruining me with horror films at such a young age. LOL

My first movie at the theater was back in the summer of 1985. My grandma took me to see the Sesame Street movie Follow that Bird!! About 20 years later I saw it at the video rental in the local grocery store so I checked it out. I totally enjoyed it and totally got all the in-jokes! I look forward to showing it to my 7-month-old nephew when he's a bit older. :)

This I'll never forget, My first trip to the theatre was in 1973 to watch In Search of Noah's Ark. My last was in December of 2005 (Against my will) to see The Incredibles. Prior to that, I had not set foot in a theatre since I walked out half way through St. Elmo's Fire in 1985.

oh god; I can't even REMEMBER that far back!

It was probably...let's seeee...oh yea! THE MUSIC MAN in 1962, with Robert Preston and Shirley Jones. It's remained one of my favorite movies, all these years. I ecspecially like that song they do at the beggining; when they're all on the train.
