who's planning to watch these tonight? Or wait for a rebroadcast, like me.
I'm waiting because the 2nd hour interferes with "C.S.I. New York" and I can't watch the rebroadcast tonight since I have to get up at 6 am.
So, I'll probably catch them either Friday or Sunday night.
I just hope that Megan Mullowy's a better host than Cedric the Entertainer was last year!!

I might watch it, I am still deciding. It won't be over till past 11 if I watch it tonight. I will have about a thousand chances to watch it in the next two weeks

I saw it. I thought Diana Ross was great, but how is she connected to tv. THe performance was better suited to the Grammy awards. SHe sang great and she looked wonderful. Maybe her Ed Sullivan years count. I love the opening with stars singing the tv show songs.

Diana Ross looks great! Cant believe she's in her early 60s. Black women age so well.

I thought TV LAND AWARDS was pretty entertaining. Megan Mullally did a great job hosting.

Thanks for posting the winners! I myself don't watch award shows, but I of course have a couple of comments on some of the winners listed above:

Pop Culture Award
Dallas

I suppose that would be a good choice, I never watched the show, but you couldn't get away from "Who Shot J.R?" that one summer!

Impact Award
Good Times

Not sure what impact they're talking about here (although I guess with J.J. in attendance, they had to give him something)...wonder who the other nominees were

Legend Award
Cheers

Yeah, I'll go along with that one. I think that Cheers was the best show on TV during most of the 80s

Future Classic Award
Grey's Anatomy

I've not seen this show, but they call just about everything today a future classic..

Pioneer Award
Sid Caesar

Very well deserved.

Greatest TV Dance Craze
The Fonzie

Oh, Please!
puke:

Broadcaster of the Year>
Ted Baxter

Well, deserved, I guess... he was great in that role...were there any other nominees?

Greatest Gear or Admirable Apparatus
Maxwell Smart

Great choice...the only choice, really. (EDIT: And, since Don Adams passed away recently, it was probably a foregone conclusion that they'd come up with an award to 'give' him, after he's gone. I'm surprised they didn't give a "Best Deputy" award to Don Knotts this time).

Character Most Desperately in Need of a Time Out
Alison Arngrim as Nellie Oleson & Danielle Spencer as Dee Thomas

LOL, how true!

Favorite Made-for-TV Maid
Alice Nelson

Had to be either her or Hazel...but Alice is alive, Hazel is dead.

Most Wonderful Wedding
Joanie & Chachi

See "The Fonzie"

Favorite Series Finale
M*A*S*H

I would have guessed "Newhart" would have won this one.

Most "Out of This World" Character
Mork from Ork

Was Mr. Spock eligible?

TV's Greatest Music Moment
Diana Ross's rain soaked concert in Central Park

That might explain Ms. Ross' presence at the awards.

Most Memorable Kiss
Laura Ingalls & Almanzo Wilder

What was memorable about it?

I think that this was one of the worst awards shows they did in the past 4 years...they only showed 8 of the like 22 on the show its self and although Diana Ross did a good job, some of her 10 Minutes could have been used to show some more....but it was okay.

I think that the 2005 Awards were worse than this year. I liked them this year. Last year they didn't even do the theme songs at the begining this year they did.I enjoyed them this year. I thought that Megan Mulally was a good host too. I know that they didn't do all the awards, but it WAS better than last year.

I thought they were GREAT!! And that parody of "GRAYS ANATOMY" was funny!! (even though I've never seen that show) Megan Mulloey (or however you spell her name:lol: ) was a great host-certainley better than Cedric the Entertainer last year-he was AWFUL!!!
And, I aggree about Sid Ceasar-he DID steal the show!! Good to know he's still "got it" after all these years!

I've never seen any of his shows, but Sid Caesar stole the TVLand Awards. He was the highlight of the night. And this is coming from the world's biggest Cheers fan.
I've been a fan of Sid Caesar since the 1950s. Great to see that he is still in
top form, at 83 years young.
