short-lived TV show again?-lol The last time they aired a Short-lived TV show was the summer of 2002. Why has TV LAND stopped airings SHORT-LIVED TV shows? They did it all the time before 2000 and the last time was when they celebrated Norman Lear's 80th Birthday. So the big question is which Birthday of Norman Lear will TV LAND celebrate in order for viewers to see another short-lived Tv show? When Norman Lear turns 85 in 2007 or 90 in 2012? Maybe they show celebrate Gary Marshall's Birthday too and then I will get to see Joanie Loves Chachi-lol

I wish they showed more 'rare' stuff. I remember when The Kitschen and Better Living Thru Television showed a lot of rare stuff - and they had marathons of rare shows...Now it seems like the network in general has become more 'generalized'. That's why I was hoping for a 10th Anniversary weekend. Oh well.

I remembered when TV Land had all those short-lived shows at one time, like Roc (1992-95), Just the Ten of Us (4/1988-1990), S.W.A.T., and a few others.

And now look at TV land now! Lazy ass TV Land!

I think it probably had something to do with a change of who was in charge of programming. Maybe the person who was the head of programming in 1996 left the station

Wasn't the person that used to be in charge of TV Land Rich Cronin, the smae guy that's now botching up GSN? (f.k.a. Game Show Network)

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Mr. Jones (the current N@N/TVL CEO) has been in charge since TV Land started, and he worked with Nick@Nite before then. I may be wrong.

I remember when they would show all those rare and and/or short lived shows. "The Jack Benny show" "Run Buddy, Run" "Mr. Terrific" "McHales Navy" "Finder of Lost Loves" "Bridget Loves Bernie". They even showed an episode once of a cop show from the 50s that I had never heard of-"The M Squad". And years ago, before we had it, I heard they used to show "Route 66" "My 3 Sons" & "Family Affair"
Ah, those were the days!!

My fault...lol! Larry Jones is the Pres. of TV Land and N@N programming and Rich Cronin was the then- V.P. of programming, right?
