she walks in from the side. old-fashioned performance, but its pretty good. gets better. 9/10, and the best so far.

Randy: Started off ehh, but by the middle of the song I remembered the first time I saw you. You blew it out of the box.
Paula: I forgot you were 17 with some of those moves. You look phenonalom. Your vocals were impeciable.
Simon: This is what you do best. You have the perfect voice for that kind of song.

I thought there were some shaky parts, but I did feel emotion and I thought his vocal was really good. I would just love for him to choose a song to connect with a younger audience though. I thought it was just a bit too old-fashioned, but nontheless, a really strong performance.

I'm not much of a Chris fan, but wow, I gotta say that he really impressed me tonight. When Ryan said he was going to sing a Johnny Cash song, the first song that came into my head was "I Walk The Line", but I didn't expect that to be the song he would sing. He did such a great job.

My other favorites of the night were Paris, Mandisa, and Kellie. I thought they did very well. I also think Lisa did well (wasn't the best, but I don't think she did badly) but I think she will be in the bottom 3 tomorrow. Ace's performance was kind of "eh" for me, but it was definitely better than last week. I kind of like Bucky, but I didn't think he did very well tonight. I think Kevin should of left a while ago, but I have to admit that he did pretty well tonight. He won't be in the bottom tomorrow. I predict the bottom 3 to be Bucky, Lisa, and Ace, with Bucky leaving.

Going by performance order...

1. MANDISA - I thought the performance was a little cabaret and a little off in the beginning, but overall, it was great! I'm really impressed with how consistent she's been throughout the course of the competition. She looked wonderful tonight too! 8.5/10.

2. BUCKY - Just eewwwwww. He's gotta go. :( 3/10.

3. PARIS - I loved her song and I was really looking forward to hearing her sing it. I don't think it was a consistent vocal, but she really pulled it off in the end. She's so adorable and fun to watch! 7/10.

4. CHRIS - OMFG. So...Walk the Line is only one of my favorite movies from the past year and I actually just got the DVD yesterday, so I started squealing like a fangirl when I found out that he was singing a song by Johnny Cash. Chris is amazing...he really is. He really knows how to mold any song into his own...I can't believe he had the guts and the creativity to help create a new arrangement for his performance. I LOVED it...it was kinda emo. ;) Last week, I started swooning all over Elliott and as much as I love him...tonight reaffirmed my love for Chris and everything he has to offer to the competition. 11/10!!

5. KATHARINE - First of all, I'd like to give a disclaimer that my orientation is as STRAIGHT AS A RULER!! :p With that, I have to say that Katharine was HOT TONIIIIGGGHTT!! There's just something about the way she carries herself onstage...It's like she's been doing it for years. And her smooth, soulful voice is one I love. She really captured the sultriness of the song in this one. My only concern was that I heard a lot of Kelly Clarkson in her voice...Come on girl, be original!! Other than that, she was frickin amazing. YAY!! 9.9/10.

6. TAYLOR - My mom and I had a good time bobbing around to his performance. :lol: I really don't know what Simon's talking about...this was one of his best performances yet!! The song fit his voice well and he showed so much energy up on that stage. He's really a 50s kinda guy! 9/10.

7. LISA - I like her, but this was one of her worst performances to date. It was a good song...not for her though. It didn't show off her range, nor her personality. It was just okay, but definitely not WOW. 6.5/10.

8. KEVIN - He actually surprised me. His vocals suck -_- ... but I felt so much emotion in it and it was a truly heartfelt performance, I think. One of his best ones yet. 7/10.

9. ELLIOTT - First of all, I thought he looked hot tonight, but at the same time...kinda pedophilliac :o :lol:. Hard to explain! Anyway...moving on...The song was kinda weird, but no matter what he sings, Elliott always pushes himself to the limit and chooses the right ones every week. Honestly, he has one of the most amazing voices I've heard on American Idol. This is one guy I definitely look forward to seeing every week and hopefully in the finals. Even if he doesn't...he should know that he could sing me to sleep anytime! (Did I just say that? :lookaroun ) 9/10.

10. KELLIE - One of her best performances yet! I'm still not in favor of her making it to like, the top five, but I must admit that she's a pretty good vocalist and performer when she chooses the right songs. This one was perfect for this week! I enjoyed it. Lots. 8.5/10.

11. ACE - He's hot. :drool: Now that I have that out of the way...For some reason, I'm starting to like Ace less and less. Although this week's perf was better than last week's...I don't know...He confuses me...Is his main genre R&B? Cuz if it is...he doesn't do too well on it. :lol: The last note he hit was reaally weird, but the rest of it was very soothing to listen to. It made me happy. 7.5/10.

Elliott was probably my favorite tonight, aside from Taylor. Im pretty much in love with Taylor but this wasnt his best performance. Kevin did so good! He needs to stick to the ballads because hes so much better at them. Ace was aweeeeeful OMG. So far hes only been good with Father Figure and that was WEEKS ago. I really dont see the hype about Chris and they cant make it anymore obvious who theyre pimping to win. Kellie chose a good song but shes such an airhead whether its acting or not its just getting annoying now.
