...although I can't seem to get it to work. I've seen messages on other boards where people say they've successfully watched stuff, though. Try it for yourself.

Just figured out why I'm having problems -- IN2TV is not available in Canada (or anywhere outside the US). I can run all the previews and features, but not any of the actual episodes.
Wow, that hurts.

nifty. I got it to work for me. It's a bit sluggish for me. Probably because my video card is not the greatest  .

Wow. Despite the SLOW downloads (and I have DSL!) the quality is awesome. I just wish they would download a little faster, LOL.
I downloaded the lost pilot from Falcon Crest (JT, you'll freak, LOL, go download it if you can). That took me about six hours (no joke). Then i downloaded an episode of Beetlejuice (which took four hours), LOL. I loved that cartoon.
I'd enjoy in2tv if the downloads were a little faster but the quality is so worth the wait.

If you have high-speed I wouldn't bother playing them on AOL's Video Player. You all need to download AOL Hi-Q: http://hiqvideo.aol.com/
They play much faster and with no commercials! It downloads, so you have to wait about 7-10 min per episode, but it is great because it doesn't buffer and no commercials.

I haven't downloaded anything yet but I plan to. I have a cable connection and I sincerely hope it won't take four to six hours to complete. Question: how large (mb size) are the downloaded files, say for an hour long show like Falcon Crest or Eight Is Enough? I don't want them to take up too much hard drive space. Also, what's the file extension?

You only download via AOL Hi-Q. The other option is to view it on AOL's Media Player, which streams. AOL Hi-Q downloads are lightning fast. I don't think they actually save on the harddrive, or people would try to save them. Sitcoms take me 7-10 min or so each per episode. Once you download an episode, it is there for you to watch anytime in the My Videos section in the AOL Hi-Q program, with no commercials and no buffering! Very good quality and even in full screen it looks like it is on DVD. I recommend anyone who has cable/DSL to use AOL Hi-Q.
We will have a review of In2TV's system...so stay tuned!

Ok, I just downloaded the pilot for Welcome Back Kotter, took 13 minutes to complete. The file was downloaded to a newly created "My Deliveries" folder in My Documents as a wmv~ file (for anyone's who's curious. I'm not suggesting someone manipulate the file so that it's burnable or anything.) But the file is over 275 megabytes, so I'd assume an hour long show might be twice that size, around half a gig.

I download an episode of Freddy's Nightmares and it was 550 mb. I'll be sticking to the sitcoms.

They still have some bugs to work out. I downloaded the Perfect Strangers episode Hello, Baby and Can I Get a Witness? played instead.

The files do indeed download to your hard drive (with AOL Hi-Q), but of course, there's always a catch. The files are DRM encrypted, and are limited to use via the AOL Hi-Q player only. Unless there's a way to get around there, it looks like it's limited to just watching on the computer for the mean time. As much as I want to burn them onto DVD to watch on my TV (the quality does look nice), at least we're able to watch them in some form...and that's what matters!

I'm having some difficulties installing the AOL Hi-Quality Video plug-in. You know how when you got to the website (http://hiqvideo.aol.com/) to download it, and you then click the picture a FAQ and Agreement notice shows up. Well, I clicked that and then it took me to a page that said "Click the above bar and "Install ActiveX Control" to get the AOL Hi-Q Video plug-in. It will ensure your delivery is secure and virus checked, while improving speed and reliability. You will also need to select install on the next dialog." I didn't get a bar on my browser that showed up, thus I can't install ActiveX nor the plug-in? Is there anyway I can get this to show up, or install it without installing ActiveX?
Other than that, I meet all the requirements (Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player 10, etc).

When you download AOL Hi-Q it installs a file called KHost.exe - it is worth noting this file will launch on your computer at start-up, and will uploads files (you have downloaded) to other people using the AOL service. It is a file sharing tool, so if you find you internet connection going slow after installing you are likely uploading files to somebody else. This isn't confirmed - but the technology AOL use (Kontiki) is often used as part of a peer-to-peer system. Other than that the system is good. I don't know if this is a feature or a flaw, but in the UK - I can view the files. I imagine AOL don't do IP checks since their (AOL ISP) IP's fail the tests.

has anyone figured out a way to get this to work with windows 2000? I could get the preview clips to work, but can't get the shows the stream.

I just spent hours downloading a show through after clicking Hi-Q, it is now on my computer but when I try play AOL Hi-Q Video Player just tells me 'The Content is only viewable in the AOL Video Player. www.aol.com/video' I went to the site and found nothing to play my download with. Geez, AOL never get anything right.

I am really disappointed with it. It works fine, but its not what I was expecting. There are a few shows I like, but its to flashy and to many sound effects and stuff.

I tried AOL Hi-Q, downloaded a show and once finished I tried to play it. It simply said 'You must view this at aol.com/video' when it tried to aquire a license.

Does anyone know if they fixed the Perfect Strangers episode Hello, Baby yet or if it still plays Can I Get a Witness?

Maybe because you live in the UK?
