I'll watch a show towards the end and when they get back to the beginning, I'll notice some of the characters have accents, which they usually ditch after a few shows. Here are a few examples.

Al Bundy
Shirley Feeny
Andy Taylor
Alex Reiger (Though mainly just the first episode)

Are there others?

Andy Taylor had more of a southern accent in the first couple seasons and he looses it by a lot as the show went on.

More 'Brooklyn,' I think the word is. Like I say, they didn't last long. And yes, Andy Taylor had the more southern accent. He was also sillier in the early episodes. I guess as Barney got more popular, they wanted Andy to be more of the straight man, and so he lost his accent as well as his silly attitude.

In the pilot episode of Family Ties, I did notice that Mallory spoke with a noticeable New York
Jewish accent. She sounded more like a valley girl afterwards.

It's not really an accent per say but Karen's voice is far less cartoonish during the 1st episode of Will and Grace.
