While I agree that the competition wouldn't be interesting if it didn't suprise us, I do think that some of the voting has been ridiculous like Joe: Texas Smurftracker has noted. Okay, so I was crying because my dad was accusing me to eat a whole pan of brownies. Then he called me fat and told me he was going to lock up all the junk food in this house. That started at 7:50.

I was still crying when Kinnik got out. I was happy, but still crying. Then Will left and I started sobbing. Like hard core.

When it came down to Melissa and Ayla, I was really upset. First, because they were my two favorite girls and I wanted them both in. Second, because I had been way nervous all day about Ayla going, since I had a dream in which Will, Ayla, Paris, and Elliott left. It was half right. Anyway. I also knew that Melissa fans voted their asses off, because she was in danger.

So when she got in, I just burst into even harder tears and my contact fell out because I cried so hard. Then I dropped it like five times and it shriveled up and cracked and I had to go open a new box of contacts.

And THEN my dad told me I wasn't allowed to watch Idol anymore because I cried too much and I was like WHAT THE HELL I HAVE TO CRY I'M KAITLYN I CRY AT EVERYTHING YOU SHOULD KNOW ME YOU'RE MY FATHER. But I'm not listening to him, I'm still watching. And that's the end of my terrible night.

Oh, that's nothing. Sorry, but it's not. Here's how LAST year went down for me.

Emily Neves was my favorite. She was the very last person shown on Hollywood night and they didn't even show her singing. Just her getting cut. So I moved onto Sarah Mather. She was the first voted out. Then I went to Celena/Lindsey. Celena got voted out, but Lindsey was still there. She made top 12, thank God. Then she left. So I went to Mikalah. Yeah, then she left. Jessica was next in my favorites and voted out. So after that I decided I wouldn't tell anyone my favorite. In ranks, I always wrote, "1. Carrie/Constantine" - I didn't have a set favorite. Even in my mind, I didn't prefer one. But then I made the mistake of saying to someone, top 6 week, "I'm scared that my favorite is going to be voted out tonight" and she said, "Who?" Of course, I said, "Constantine." And we all know that story.

Plus, my top favorites of every season make 10th place.

I think Im the only one whos glad Ayla is out. Yah she had one of the better voices, but I just didnt like her. Its not always voice only, though in reality it should. Frankly I wouldnt have minded seeing Brenna in the top 12 :snob:. I didnt like Melissa in the beginning, but I like her now and Im glad shes in just out of spite of Simons comment. Gedeon had one of the better voices too, but God he was just.. odd. Just because they have an amazing voice doesnt mean everyone likes them [Jennifer Hudson anyone? :lol:]. I know Kevin wont make it far, so to win Im rooting 100% for Taylor :drool:.

Ayla seems to me like the Amanda of this year - out of the cast offs, the one I most wanted to make top 12. IMO, she should've made it over Melissa (this year's Jessica). But seeing Ayla try really hard not to cry made me sad. And then of course Ryan has to be all "Oh, why don't you sing for us?" Just the fact of everything, and that specific song would've done me in. I really honestly think I heard her voice crack on the line "Reaching for something in the distance / So close you can almost taste it" I mean, it hits so close to what she's feeling....
