So very sad to hear of Darren's passing. A Christmas Story is one of my all-time favorite movies and he was brilliant in that role. He will be missed... :(

I remember Darren from RIVERBOAT, KOLCHAK: THE NIGHT STALKER and many,
many other TV shows and movies. A great actor. Will certainly be missed. Did
you know he played a cop in Jerry Lewis's first solo movie ("The Delicate
Delinquent"), in a role originally written for Dean Martin?

I remember him from The Night Stalker and The Delicate Delinquent, but I really came to love him as "The Old Man" from A Christmas Story. Like my father, he sounded tough, but he loved his family.

Wow. That is so sad. I loved him on A Christmas Story. I can't believe he died. He will be missed.
