This thread is for just the episodes. The other thread is for news and "TV Guide" episode listings. It seemed to get too confusing and cluttered.

Henry’s House
Episode 1. “Pilot”
Starring -
Bob Newhart (as Henry Richards)
Chris O’Donnell (as Derek Reed)
Isaac Lidsky (as Brian Webber)
& Patrick Warburton (as Vince Beckett)
In the opening scene, Henry is sitting down to breakfast, reading the newspaper. There’s a knock at the door. Henry gets up and answers it. Derek Reed is there. Derek tells Henry that his wife kicked him out, after she caught him cheating with two women. He asks Henry if he can stay there until he can get an apartment. Henry makes a better offer. He insists that Derek moves in officially. Derek is stunned but agrees to it. Henry tells Derek that he was his late son’s best friend. And for that reason alone, he’d love to have him around.
Over at a college, Brian Webber is in the science lab. He’s playing with chemicals. The exterior of the college is shown as a big explosion occurs. It cuts to Webber, physically being thrown out by the dean. He decides to go to Henry’s house. Henry used to be his neighbor and mentor.
Back at the house, Henry and Derek are talking about their plans. Suddenly, there’s a knock at the door. Derek answers it. Of course, it’s Webber. He comes in and tells Henry his situation. He’s now homeless. Henry insists that he move in there, the same as Derek. Webber jumps at the chance and asks to live in the basement and turn it into a lab. Henry okays it, demanding that Webber doesn’t blow anything up down there. Webber agrees.
Henry, Derek and Webber are now sitting down to dinner. The news is on the TV set, which is in the kitchen. The newsman announces that the criminal Vince Beckett has escaped prison and is now considered a fugitive. Henry is shocked. He tells the two guys that he used to work with Vince back in the 80’s and they were best friends for a while. Until Vince had moved away. Webber wondered if Vince would show up at the house. As soon as he mentioned that, there’s a knock at the door. The three nervously go to the door, together. It’s Vince Beckett!
Vince rushes into the house. He informs Henry about his situation and asks him if he can hide out for a while. Henry immediately refuses. Just as Vince is about to leave, the cops pull up to Henry’s driveway. Henry tells Vince to run upstairs to the attic and hide. Which he does. The policeman knocks on the door. Henry answers it and tells the him that he hasn’t seen the fugitive. The policeman leaves. Derek and Webber are shocked that Henry lied for a criminal.
Henry goes up to the attic. He sits down next to Vince and insists on hearing the story of why Vince was arrested in the first place. Vince tells him that he was a petty thief for many years. They finally captured him and arrested him. But he couldn’t take another day in prison and somehow managed to escape. With no where else to go, Vince remembered his best friend Henry lived close by. Henry is touched that Vince came to him. With a little reluctance, Henry invites Vince to live with him. Vince agrees and says that even if he gets caught, he’ll lie for Henry saying he forced his way to inside the house. Henry said that wouldn’t be much of a lie. The two friends shake hands.
The next morning, Henry stands up in front of the couch, while Derek, Webber and Vince sit on the couch. He has decided on where everyone will stay. Derek will live in the garage. Which makes him happy, since he’s a mechanic and it’s a nice garage. Henry tells Webber that he’ll stay in the basement as requested. Webber’s happy. Henry then tells Vince that he’ll stay up in the attic, which makes Vince happy. Henry then opens up, saying how lonely he’s been the past few years since his wife and son had passed away.
In the final scene, Henry sits down to breakfast, just like in the first scene. However, this time, Derek, Webber and Vince sit around the table, joining him. The jazz song “Take 5” plays throughout the scene.

Late at night, David and Kate are in bed, arguing again. She tells him she wants out. He convinces her to stay. Once again, Henry is standing by the door. The next morning, breakfast is on the table and Kate and the kids are eating. David comes down and is ready to join them. Henry takes David into the living room. He tells David that he knows about Kate and his marital problems and promises that as long as he’s there, their marriage will be solid. David, uncomfortable with the conversation, tells Henry that everything is fine. Henry knows the truth, but backs off.
Henry and David go to the kitchen table and sit down and begin eating breakfast. The final shot of the episode is the entire Hanson family eating breakfast.

But that was a great farewell kiss.” says Frank. Mary Jane looks angry before she turns around and walks out the door. Kenneth is shocked. He knows that Frank and Mary Jane have been dating for a few weeks. “Let’s eat breakfast.” says Frank. The three of them go back to the kitchen table and start eating. Tommy enters the apartment, surprised and delighted to see Alex still with Frank. Kenneth invites Tommy to have some breakfast. He runs over and sits down.
In the final scene, Kenneth and Tommy are sitting on the couch, watching television. All of a sudden, the theme song to “The Courtship of Eddie’s Father” plays. It then cuts to Frank and Alex acting out all of the scenes from that theme song, with the music still playing.
