What was wrong with Jackie??????

I'm just starting to watch Roseanne ep by ep in order....I've read on here alot of people saying how much they disliked Jackie claiming she had changed dramatically after the baby saying she turned psycho, chopped her hair off, dressed more manly and became loony, etc. What is it exactly that Jackie would say or do that made her seem so out of whack??

Also, reading along some threads I came across this:
"Because in the last episode Roseanne explained that Jackie was actually a lesbian."

HUH??? Can someone explain this to me??!!

A lot of the things on the show aren't what the real Roseanne Conner's life is like, one of them is Jackie is gay. (well, you know what i mean.. there is no real roseanne conner) The last episode explains that the whole series is her book.
I don't want to spoil the rest for you.
