earlier tonight, I was watching The Book Of Daniel on NBC (frankly, if you were complaining about the show without watching it, you missed out, the show is hardly sacreligious, it's basically the chronicle of the head of a dysfunctional but loving family, who happens to get visits from Jesus, but enough about that...) and the oldest of the three teenage children looked familiar to me, so I checked it out on IMDB, and it was none other than Christian Campbell....

Christian Campbell is Neve Campbell's (Scream, Party Of Five) OLDER brother... another character he played was at least 21 in the movie Trick (since his character was in a bar and drank without problems), which came out in 1999, seven years ago. He is handsome and kinda looks like Maxwell Caulfield, but he is also close to turning 34, making him older than "80's teenagers" such as Tempestt Bledsoe, Alyssa Milano and Tina Yothers and only just a couple years younger than Rick Schroeder, Gary Coleman and Kim Fields.

TV-wise, is there anyone older when a show started? I know Gabrielle Carteris was about to turn 30 when 90210 started and Henry Winkler was close to 30 when Happy Days started (and by the post-Ron Howard seasons, he looked his age). I know in movies, Stockard Channing was 35 when she was Rizzo in Grease, but has there been any television actor who was even older than Christian Campbell at playing a teenager when the show began?

I just wanted to also add that in Grease, Olivia Newton-John was 30 years old. That one always amazed me!

liza weil who plays paris on gilmore girls was born in 1977 wich would have made her 24 when gilmore girls began in 2000 but yet shes supposed to be the same age as rory played by alxeis beldell who is 4 years younger than liza having been born in 1981 for male actors the all time champ has to be richard crenna who was 26 when he played 16 year old walter denton on our miss brooks in 1952 and from the few eps ive seen he should have just quit the role when the radio verision ended. he knew deep down that he was way too old to continue playing a nerdy high school boy but star eve arden asked him personally to continue in the role and as funny as he was in the role on radio .on tv it just didnt work he looked akward sort of like the later years of family matters where jaleel white was still playing urkel long after he had outgrown the role.

while neither of them were quite the oldest... Charisma Carpenter (born in 1970) and Nicholas Brendon (born in 1971) on Buffy The Vampire Slayer came close when you look at some of the cast age logistics...

Charisma was only TWO WEEKS YOUNGER than Robia LeMorte (yes Vashti, she was one of the two "Diamonds And Pearls" chicks, lol) yet Robia was the teacher Ms. Calender, while Charisma was the student. There was even a moment where Nicholas' character referred to Robia's character as "old", when in real life she's only nine months older than him.
