So I got this crush at work named Curt. Hes 24 or 25 I forget and hes one of my 'bosses'.. the the assistant to my dept. manager. Anyways, I like him but have no idea what to say to him. Hes pretty shy and quiet himself but soo nice so its hard to start up a convo since he doesnt really say a whole lot! AND I dont wanna sound as if Im interested [even though I am ]. Like today I had asked how the roads were and he answered but it wasnt like I could really continue the conversation.

Mhm. Its so hard with small talk because Im not exactly the most outspoken person either so I know what its like when people talk. Youre just kinda like 'uh huh' *laughs*. Which is basically what he does! So its like durrr what to say.

Well, that's the only one I can take full credit for. I'm also involved in a project that would make the moon be a full moon every night, but there are still a few kinks I gotta work out. Gravity is kind of a pain in the ass, so I might have to put that to a stop.

And...as soon as my atom-splitting partner passes 8th grade science, I think we'll be well on our way to doing so.

Well, Crystal, I guess Daryl's out of the picture.

With Curt, can't you talk about work-related issues or ask him for assistance on something, perhaps your schedule? Then as you get to know him better, kick it up a notch and start asking him what he did over the weekend and telling him what you did. Talk about your concerts, etc.

It's hard at first, but gets easier with every conversation. You have to start somewhere. Good luck. :)

Well with Darryl having a baby and a 'girlfriend', it was pretty easy to get over him!. Though I wont deny hes still some nice eye candy.

Thanks! Well he does sometimes make the schedules. I could talk about concerts, but I dunno how much he wants to hear about Clay Aiken . I told Theresa I want to be a CSR, so hopefully he'll be the one to train me, that way we could talk a bit more hehe. Its just harder because with him, he is just so shy/quiet so convos just kinda drift off.

Though yesterday Corie and I were flapping and then shes all.. 'You and Curt should go out. I like Curt, hes a nice guy. You two need to go out!'. Made me feel pretty good :biglove:

Talk about anything and everything. You need a base to start off on, so even if you think a conversation is stupid, go with it. Because you never know if he knows anything about it or not. I used to censor myself all the time because I thought that if I said something and no one would react, they'd automatically hate me. But you have to realize that you don't have to do ***** to impress other people. Be who you are (because that's all you can really be) and expand on that. You'll surprise yourself. Works like a charm for me.

We're going mini-golfing Saturday!!!!!

Ok so the past few weekends we've hung out outside of work with some other co-workers and yesterday we went bowling. He brought some foreign girl here for the summer which of course made me all jealous and seething inside. After he dropped her off to some club to meet her other friends and we all went to Applebees. Then me and him went [alone!!!!!!!!!] to a lil pub and hung out for about an hour. He has my # now, I have his, and now we're going mini golfing on Saturday [alone!!!!!!!!!!!!]. I personally wouldnt call it a date, but Ill take what I can get.

What sucks now though is he switched positions and will be working overnights so I wont see him as much, cept for the nights Im closing and whatnot and see him when he comes in. He said as far as hanging out goes, he doesnt plan on stopping that, he can sleep whenever.

ps buy Clay Aikens album tomorrow.

Blah. Too bad I can't meet anyone at my job. Most instructors are way older than me and are married and all that. The guys that are around my age already have kids and/or girlfriends. Blah.

I have tried making social circles around my job, and it's working fine via online. I just need to meet/hang out with them in real life. They already know it and are in accordance with me, but it's just a matter of who wants to do the initiating. Grrrr...

It took me 2 years to make friends up here. I had friends at work and everything, but thats where it stayed - at work. Not until this summer did I actually start hanging out with people and now Im actually getting out of the house and feeling more like my age.

Im with you on the guys thing though. Lord knows Ive had many crushes at work  but they were either old, married, had kids, or just not in my league for whatever reason.

I dunno... everyone at work is all like.. o0o0o0o!! lol and my friend Becky and Alyssa both swear he likes me because they can tell the way he looks at me.
