Wait a minute don't shows have to go at least six seasons before they go into sydication?

Oh my Gosh, no. If that were the rule, syndication would both suck and be unsuccessful. Not many shows last six seasons, even successful ones. Ally McBeal, for example... :happyface :happyface :happyface

I think there's some sort of rule where the show has to have at least 100 episodes or on it's way to 100 episodes to go to syndication.

but as for first reruns such as, law and order SUV and CI on USA or Once and Again on Lifetime, 24 on FX, i have no idea how that works.

That's not syndication. That's what they call in the TV World as "re-purposing". Which is airing a TV show on a cable network days after its network run. The same is done with Last Call With Carson Daily on E! and The View on A&E. And coming this fall, Conan O'Brien on Comedy Central. Although the daily ones are on cable the day after their network run. But as far as syndication goes, there are several shows that are under that 100 episode mark. Hell there are some that have 40 - 80 episodes that are run in syndication. Bosom Buddies only had 38 episodes.

Is that what its called. Well i dont know how it works. I am aware that any show can go into syndication, regardless of how many there are in the package, I just thought that current shows had to have a certain number. I wish more networks would show short-lived shows but a lot of them don't like too because they want more than one month worth of programming.

Will & Grace is NOT going to Lifetime! It's going to WGN. I believe that's right. Where are you pavanbadal?

Will & Grace goes to locals and WGN this fall (2002). Lifetime in 2005.

Have any of you guys here seen the syndication adds that have been going around?

Yes and I love them! There's one that was played a lot on WGN and it was, like, a two-minute commercial of just "W&G" and it was so awesum! I don't know why -- maybe cuz it was 1 a.m. at night and I only had three hours of sleep the night before, but no matter what it was, I was excited! :happyface

I'm upset, I just found out they'll be showing two Will and Grace episodes in syndication on The WB here. But one is on at 6 which is fine. But the other is on at 11. That's way to late.

Someone here told me that WGN is coming to 99% of homes in the fall. It is the fall and still I have no WGN.

KAIL in Fresno, CA has W&G from 6-7 PM weeknights. Last Year, KGPE had W&G at 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM paired with That '70s Show at 4 PM. I think they will do much better when it stays with UPN 53 since I can also see That '70s Show and King of the Hill on UPN 45 in Bakersfield, CA from 7-8 PM. It's just good that I have a Tivo!
