I am wondering when the price of stamps goes from 37 cents to 39 cents. I heard a few weeks ago on the news that it would increase. I didn't happen to hear though whether the news caster said January 1st or January 4th.

I read a sign at the post office today that said the 8th.

Once stamps reach the price of a half dollar, everybody better watch out because then 50 Cent will come out and start claiming it was his fame and influence that brought on the change, and that he's responsible for the success of the US Postal Service.

I'm sure he'll also try to sue them for using his name on the stamp too, just like when Spike Lee tried to sue Spike TV for having the word 'Spike' in the name. I hope he also traveled the suburban areas of the United States and delivered court dates to the pets of many families. And that dog on Tom & Jerry.

You still have 5 days to get away with using 37-cent stamps. :D

And you know what's really sad? My dad works for the PO and I had no clue about this rate increase until today. :bonk:

I had no idea until today that stamps were going up to 39¢. When I got to work today there was a note saying they were going up since we send out a lot of mail and obviously need stamps.
