I remember when this show used to be fun to watch, something to look forward to, a show with class. Now, it is just so annoying to watch all these actresses pretend to be singers, seeing Mariah be almost NAKED again...UUUGHHHH, what happened to this show? I miss Dick Clark. I can't stand this show. My boyfriend keeps wanting to watch it thinking something good is going to happen, but it hasn't happened.:rolleyes:

I didn't watch the show but I heard that Shakira won Best Latin Artist or something. That makes me happy. lol. :)

The only good part of the show was when Carlos Santana and the Lonely Boys appeared and played. That's it. I can't stand the new crop of singers. Kelly Clarkson deserves what she has and what she gets. I like Shakira. I can't stand the others. Oh God, and there she was Miss Paris Hilton. The announcer called her the woman the world loves to talk abt.

I hate Mariah, but I am glad she is not skinny. The message these poor young girls get is that being skinny is the thing. Mariah loves herself too much. She is in love with herself. She is always half-naked, she is always flaunting her skin, I just don't get her. She should be taking care of that sister of hers who keeps getting busted for prostitution and infecting her customers with the HIV virus. Yes, her sister has AIDS. She is a junkie who supports her habit that way. I think if Mariah put half as much of her energy into helping her sister get help, rather than worrying abt herself, then her sister can at least live a little better. JMO.

The AMAs, like most awards shows, are irrelevant and have no meaning whatsoever. The only award that carries any weight or prestige for musical entertainers is the Grammy, and even that has become a joke.
