THE KRANKS

This is a movie-turned-sitcom about the 2004 movie "Christmas with the Kranks". The sitcom takes place one year after the movie ended. Luther and Nora Krank (Tim Allen, Jamie Lee Curtis) have moved into a new house on the other side of their suburb of Chicago hometown. Luther and Nora's once-empty house has now turned into a full-house, as they open their doors to their 23-year-old daughter, Blair Krank (Julie Gonzalo),Nora's 19-year-old fashion-maven niece, Holly Peserik (Rachel Bilson), and Nora's 21-year-old slacker nephew, Corey Peserik. Blair, Holly, and Corey are friends-more-than-cousins. Holly and Corey are living with their Aunt Nora and Uncle Luther, after their always-traveling parents decided to head to Europe for a year, leaving them with the Kranks. Also, Blair is currently maintaining a long distance serious relationship with her boyfriend, Enrique DeCardenal (Rene Lavan) who moved back to Peru to be with his family. Nora also spends her free time, gossiping and socializing with her two best friends, Candi Morrison (Caroline Rhea) and Merry Johnson (Felicity Huffman). Nora, Candi, and Merry make a habit of going out to eat everyday for lunch together. Luther and Nora must deal with themselves, each other, their daughter, Blair's long distance relationship, Nora's niece and nephew, and Nora's good-hearted yet gossiping best friends....among other day-to-day trials and tribulations.
