lets say this isn't a case of "error in the first test"... wouldn't it be awesome if they were able to walk away from this with another step accomplished in the battle against aids?

I'de love to see a cure in my lifetime, not only would it help the many who suffer in the world. But for Africa in particular, it would solve a huge problem among the children suffering with the disease. :( It's so sad to hear the stories of what happens to them.

It would be great if there was a cure.

Wow, imagine if you found out you had AIDs, then suddenly your body cured itself of it. That would make me feel like the luckiest person in the world.
I hope there's a cure found soon...

People in Africa need more awareness that this disease is killing their families at a very fast pace and need to stop spreading the disease like rabbits. If this is not done, there's no use for a cure.
I read about that man this morning. If he did miraculously cure himself of the virus, I hope his case can answer some questions for the medical communities.

Indeed. But that's also the big problem: governments pretend it doesn't exist. There's a real taboo on aids in the 3rd world. Unless something is done about that, nothing will help.

I agree, I think the international community really needs to take more steps in this matter. It's brutal what they go through.
