OMG! Jostens didmy class ring(1968)! I have one but I could never wear it for long. I was allergic to the metal! The only one who wore my class ring was my high school boyfriend. We went steady for a while. He wore it on his pinky finger. But class rings were a very big thing back then! I really don't know if nowadays that they still are? In those days the whole class voted on one style and we all had the same ring. But I do know that in later years class rings were not the same for everyone in the class. In which I never liked because IMO a class ring should reflect the whole class and not individual tastes. Call me old-fashioned but IMO a class ring should represent the entire class?

I think you should get one "just in case."
You know.. you can show it to your grandchildren or something.
Plus, you are only given the opportunity to buy a classring ONCE. Miss it now, and you'll miss it forever. You might just regret it. ;)

As for me, tho, to be 100% hypocritical... I'm not getting one. I hate my school and 99% of everyone in it. :D

Oh yeah! I have to order mine because in my school, we're having a ring ceremony. They bless it and everything. My mom had to get the most expensive one possible. I don't get what the big deal is. It's just a ring lol Oh well.

I ordered one from Jostens too about a month ago. My suggestion is that you just wait it out till next year when you're a senior to buy yours. It'll be more meaningful for you. :)

I bought one, but I don't ever wear it. Mainly because people already think I look about 18 instead of 26. So if I would wear my class ring people might think I really was in high school.

I never got one. They're super expensive and I don't trust myself with expensive things.

I don't want one. I don't need a daily reminder of that hell-hole.

I guess it all depends on how important HS was to you. If it was a good experience with a lot of great memories and you have the money to buy one, I say go for it. I have one but it doesn't fit me anymore, been sitting in a dresser drawer for the past 12 years or so. Personally, if I could go back I would have spent that hundred bucks on something else.

like a lot of you mine came from Jostens to. I ordered it last year and it came in in September. I haven't worn it that much. I keep forgetting about it.

This topic has brought up a new insight to me about class rings. I bought a pretty expensive one when I graduated in '91 and it was stolen, I've been considering replacing it but for one thing it will never have the same sentimental value, it will probably sit in a drawer and I would be thinking that I could've spent the money on something more useful that doesn't remind me of hell.

Id get one if I were you. I love my class ring, though if I could, Id change the stone. My class ring was $500 because I had to have the lil diamonds going around all over. I wanted my ring to look more like a nice ring, so I could wear it out for a long time.

mine was 80$... maybe your sister got luckier, but mine LOOKED like i only paid 80$ too.. but i really didn't care too much. I moved around so much my freshman year, I really had no connection with the high school i graduated from.

I got my class ring from Herff Jones 2 weeks ago. We all had to have the same stone and also one of the designs on the side had to be the same on every ring. It was pretty expensive, because I got it with some extra features.

I didn't get one mainly because high school wasn't that big of a deal for me. I decided to save my money and then get one during my senior year of college.
