I've seen loads of Seinfeld episodes but never in order. The Paramount Comedy Channel shows 'Seinfeld' episodes every day and a couple of weeks ago they showed the first ever episode. I have 2 questions about it -

Elaine wasn't in this episode - she wasn't even mentioned. In what episode did Elaine first appear?

This might just be my imagination but I could have sworn that Jerry calls Kramer "Kessler" in this episode. Did anyone else notice this or am I just crazy?

"...everything was there and around us. We knew exactly who we were and exactly where we were going. It was grand."
- Gordie, 'Stand By Me'

"First you gotta do the Truffle Shuffle!" - Mouth, 'The Goonies'

Hi,

Elaine wasn't part of the show at all. They wrote her in and That's why Jerry doesn't really consider it the first episdoe because she wasn't part of the show. Her character was written in and she came aboard episode 2. The show was also called the Seinfeld Chronicles... they dropped that and just called it Seinfeld.

Kramer's name was Kessler. What happened is that the 'real' Kramer wasn't sure if he wanted the show to use his name or not.
