boost Ratings for that Night. I didn;t know the show was doing that well. It was mentioned what time slot it would be in on Thursday Nights.

If they put it at 9 it would be the stupidest thing they ever did. It would be up against CSI, and, if they move it, American Idol, the top two shows.

Yeah, I'm not sure I understand the logic with moving it. You don't gain anything. The viewers you gain on Thursday (if any considering it seems a lot of fans don't respond well to night moves), you lose on Tuesday and thus your weekly numbers move nowhere.
I'm thinking it's just speculation by the Hollywood Reporter.

The Trump version of "The Apprentice" will be back after the Olympics but it's unclear where it will air. Wednesday night, where a short-run season of "The Biggest Loser" will air starting January, seems the most likely spot.

Well that Thursday Night Lineup is not going to change anything in the ratings

The NBC Powers that be are trying to get back they're must See Thursday
lineup that they had for years with Seinfeld/Friends etc.
That was a death valley for every other channel to put things in, Now
that friends and Seinfeld left the air, They've been looking for that magic.
Unfortunately that ends up alienating many series that are good where
they're at, they monkey around with the time frame and people get
turned off quickly because they have other things to do on that night.
