This was indeed one of my favourite episodes of The Muppet Show. For me personally it felt kind of odd seeing Jean with the muppets, being so used to her as Edith.Though there was no reference to that role on this show.Just a joke from Fozzie that went something like"jeans that were stapled on".At first she sounded quite different from the Edith character(she certainly had a better singing voice). But by the end of the episode, you might say she got a little Edithy.

you got me; why don't you?

I don't remember her on it; either. But that's because I've never seen it; because it's a kids show and therefore; it's not even worthy of my attention!!!

Buy the DVD set of Season 1. The other seasons are bound to be released eventually, especially if sales hold up.

I have the episode on tape along with most Muppet Shows. There's a cute joke in which Jean does a number with Fozzie and says to him "You're a dingbat."
