Guess I'm pathetic then. Which is fine with me.

I just happened to watch it in 1991, and been hooked ever since.

It reminds me too much of some other families I know. They may be smart-alics, and disfunctional to some sense, but they are family.

The show does a good job of portraying that, as well as facing real life issues of raising kids, drugs, alcohol, dealing with family members who drive you nuts, financial hardships.

It's as american as apple pie to me.

It ran a couple of seasons too long, but I'd rank some of the mid-run episodes up there with "All in the Family".

That is one of the reasons so many people watched and liked the show. It was about normal everyday people. Not, anerexic looking, overly made up people, living in a mansion. The situations were that in which we face in almost everyday life. They handled them, entertainingly, (if thats a word) and realistically at the same time.

The worst season being the Lottery season (last season) which I thought was fake. Its been reported that fans were unhappy with the season finale too. And I have to ask again What's Nick at Nite doing airing this show later on? They'll skip a lot of programs.

Ouch! You sound like Darlene. Anyway I though she went to far with some stuff but the show overall was way too funny and I'm gonna work on getting every episode.

I absolutely love the show. I never watched it when it was on prime-time. I started watching the re-runs when I had to find something to watch after The Simpsons, and I couldn't stand Home Improvement, which directly followed the Simpsons. So I turned the channel, landed on Roseanne, and have been hooked ever since. The show is just an absolute riot, and I don't care what size Roseanne is. The show makes me laugh.

I love the show it was funny what more do you need, it made me laugh.

I know not everyone likes the same thing, why should they? that would make life boring, however when making comments on a show you don't like why don't you try to have more class and offer a more intellectual opinon.

How can you call this show dumb? This is my all time favorite show. It is very clever and in my opinion the funniest show that I have ever seen. It took real topics and made jokes out of them which made it even funnier. And what do you mean by fat woman? Do you actually think you would like this show if she was skinny? I watched it and loved it because it was funny not because Roseanne was overweight.
