riding on a city bus for everyone to hear? On my way home yesterday, this woman was talking on her cell phone to someone about one of her bills and was yelling and looking extra crazy.-lol That had to be the weirdest thing I seen in a long time. The entire bus heard all of her business

That is very stupid. Especially if you have to give credit card or pin numbers to the person on the other side of the phone.

I cant stand them types of people, theyre just annoying attention seekers who want everyone to see they are on a cellphone but they always look so pathetic, its the same as when people feel the need to shout down the phone while in a public place

People do things like that all the time here in L.A. On the bus, or walking down the street.
What is even worse is when they are talking about something especially personal, like a relationship or an illness.
They seem to think that everyone else on the planet cares about their lives.
No... in reality... this kind of person simply thinks that they are the only one in the universe that matters. They don't care one whit how uncomfortable they might be making the people around them feel.

There was this woman in Wal Mart talking on her cell phone and doing A BUNCH of cussing
I also hate people who show off money. My sister said on her way home from Jackson, some people were driving down the roads hanging money out of the window

I don't know what's worse, this scenario that you just posted Retro, or the one I heard/saw yesterday in the store parking lot. This woman parked in the parking space, barely turned off her car and jumped outta her car, while two small girls (ages abt 4 & 5) were trying to get out of the car. They were not in any car seats mind you. She was yelling at them to hurry their "black asses" up and "get their black asses outta the car!" She then screamed abt she didn't have time for "their s**t". She then walked into the cell phone store. I was putting bags in my SUV when all of a sudden she came stomping outta the store and began yelling at one of them and stated "i'm gonna pull that damn nappy head of yours if you don't shut the hell up!!" I could not believe this woman was screaming like this in a parking lot for the whole world to hear. I felt so bad for those little girls.

This is one of my pet peeves and why I try to only talk on my phone when neccessary and rarely when I'm out in public. It is so annoying because often you can't escape the loud person on the phone unless you get up and leave the area... but why should you? It is rude and inconsiderate to yell so loudly on the phone with others around... :o

Also, some people have their cell phones and they think they are talking privately, but not only can I hear the person talking, but at times I can also hear the person they are TALKING TO. Do they have volumes on cells or is the person just talking so damn loud?

The most ridiculous thing I have seen, is when people are having lengthy conversations on their cell phones and they are jogging on the beach!

i hope that person knows that comment was meant for them.
I do seem to notice that u don't visit chit/chat alot. Now I know why...as a matter of fact, I received a PM from one poster (former poster) they weren't gonna deal with SO anymore because of the stuff that goes on here. I feel bad that real nice and decent people can't even have their say (decent say) without the "bullies" getting their two-bits in. I posted something today and was told I was "mean". No, I was giving my OPINION, and being honest, not mean.

lol...I've seen that in the lobby of where I work. They'll walk by my desk and I can hear everything the other person is saying. Nothing interesting so far though.

 Nothing interesting yet, eh? Yeah...this whole cell phone conversation happens all the time near me...and it weirds me out. They're talking about really personal stuff and you have no right to listen, but they're talking so damn loud, there's nothing you can do about it. That's why I hate talking on the phone when I'm outside...unless if it's in between classes at school (everyone's on a phone then, so it doesn't matter).
