It was 50 years ago today, "The Honeymooners" made its debuted on CBS. It stars Jackie Gleason, Art Carney, Audrey Meadows and Joyce Randolph. Wow! 50 years. What a day that this is. The show featured 39 great episodes that are classics. This is a great celebration. Happy anniversary from "The Honeymooners". party:

How Sweet It Is!

The Honeymooners Debut Episode actually didn't occur on October 1st, 1955, but rather it debuted years before on "The Cavalcade Of Stars" with Gleason.

But as we all know, they weren't the Classic 39'ers. That first episode did indeed occur on October the 1st, 1955.

"TV Or Not TV" was the first of the classic 39. Oh the classic 39 were great, and indeed, they will be re-played for years to come through syndication and DVDs.

Happy 50th The Honeymooners Classic 39!

Happy 50th anniversary to a true sitcom classic. To borrow a quote from the book The Honeymooners Companion by Donna McCrohan "May the Honeymoon never be over."
