Choices We've Made

Starring Lara Flynn Boyle as Cheyenne Morrison, a former CEO of a successful corporation, who has recently been let go from her cushy job. After feeling unwanted and devastated, Cheyenne leaves New York City to head back to her hometown of Graceland, Georgia. Cheyenne left Graceland 10 years ago at the age of 24. She left behind, not only her parents, her husband and (then) toddler twin children. Cheyenne always wanted to leave her small hometown to go to the big city, yet she married young and started a family all before she turned 23 years old. Cheyenne applied and got accepted to New York University and just up and left Graceland on a whim. Now, Cheyenne wants to go back to Graceland in search of her long-time ago abandoned family. Cheyenne shows up on her old doorstep to find a familiar face-her husband, David (Jason Lee). David, the nice guy that he is, allows her to move back in with him and their twin children: Max (Frankie Ryan Manriquez) and Ruby (Taylor Atelian), who are now 10 years old. David explains to the twins about Cheyenne being thier mom, after first, they are hostile towards her for leaving (which causes her to want to run, again), yet they start to warm-up to her, after she drags out some old pictures of Cheyenne and David holding the twins as newborns and infants. Also, Cheyenne is once again befriended by her high school best friend, Rachel Bouvier (Jennifer Aspen), who hasn't changed a bit and is just as naive and curious. Cheyenne attempts to make amends with her estranged parents, Dale and Lorraine Burdett (Craig T. Nelson, Shelley Fabares). Dale is just like his grandkids, first-he's hostile, but then is just happy to have her home again. Yet Lorraine is anything but happy her flighty daughter returns to now re-enter her family's lives once again, and thinks she really owes her hubby and kids a lot for what she did in the past. (Lorraine's well-known agruement is "Cheyenne, you're married with kids, you can't jsut walk in and out of your family's lives whenever you choose to.")
