Neil Sean of Sky News reports that Anni-Frid Synni Lyngstad, better known simply as Frida of ABBA, is releasing remastered editions of her solo albums, in addition to a solo version of 'Dancing Queen'. "I'm in the studio now and hope to have some new material out in 2006," Frida told a source, "but I hope fans think I've done the epic Dancing Queen justice."

I am curious to hear this. I loved the album Agnetha Faltskog did last year. However, the Dancing Queen thing sounds scary, it's a classic song but a 60 year old singing is quite different than a 30 year old. I thought Frida had the better voice of the two girls.

I was glad to hear Agnetha make plans to record, but I haven't heard anything from Frida for a long while. I remember that after Frida's "Something's Going On" album, which had a hit single of the same name, she released another solo album (She appeared in boxing gloves) but nothing ever came of it in America, as far as I know. I always loved Frida's voice!!

one thing from a singles chart standpoint that a lot of people may not realize, "I Know There's Something Going On", her solo hit from 1983, actually spent more weeks on the Billboard hot 100 than ANY of ABBA's songs.
